I'd edit your post quick, just put your wampa base on a 48x48 base and you'll be fine. If not, your disqualified. Sad

i don't own a 48 x 48 baseplate .. it's 32 x 32 ... I don't have the ability to turn that into a 48 x 48 ... is that a great problem ?!

if it is, I'll just withdraw the entry ... Rolling Eyes

ok, I might be able to work something out ... apologies ... as I said, I'm new to all this !

actually, I guess I can't ... simply cannot be bothered to re-make it so that the door for the cave fits onto the base!

sorry ... guess I'll have to withdraw!

Just add some plates around it to make it 48x48 and put some white tiles on top of it. There 48x48 footprint. =)

sadly, i don't have enough plates to do that!

And, the door overhangs by two bricks worth (so it can open), so no doubt I'd be disqualified for that!

My Entry: My diorama begins by showing Obi-wan's arrival on the wet, wild, watery, planet of Kamino. In the last 5 pictures it shows Obi-wan in a precarious position hundreds of feet above a watery death. Enjoy!

Now it's too small, maybe you can try to double that size. Can't you specify the pixel size from the photo editing software that you're using?

Boonetrooper wrote:

You can do any scene you like even if it happens to be the same scene that somebody has already submitted. Then again, originality counts a whole lot.

Can there be a separate plate? For example, I want to make the DS2 shield generator along with the landing pad,but I used up my 48x48 capacity. Can I still do it?

Well, it's got rather a lot of poetic licence and used 3 established official Lego sets ... but hey, it's the best I can do with the limited resources I have!

It doesn't really re-create an exact scene, but just tries to capture the sheer hell that was the battle of Hoth whilst contrasting it against the individual fear of Luke Skywalker as he gets trapped by the Wampa (in the hidden cave).

They're really having a go at that AT-AT, both wrapping it's legs in the harpoon rope and Luke, following his freedom from the Wampa, hanging on for dear life to get a grenade in it's underbelly!

As you can see, the Empire are making in-roads into the base ... eek!

The other pics are here

Footprint is essentially the base of your dio as an example the large gray baseplate happens to be exactly 48x48 studs.

Boonetrooper wrote:

No.

No, only the landing pad will count.

You still got plenty of time to build a different one.

Wait a minute, the actual landing pad is my 48x48 capacity? I counted the 48x48 studs on the GROUND where there's going to be a lot happening. does the landing pad actually count as my base plate? Confused

i believe you can building anything you want so long as the floor space fills 48 x 48 .... if your creating gets bigger than that above "ground" then it might be ok ?!

Please use common sense, anything above the base can be permitted to go over by a few studs. Just don't want to see something that's twice as big as the base.

AC, if someone else hosted this contest, there would be no point in trying to beat you. Wink

Anyways, here's my contest entry. I's supposed to be the scene where Obi-wan lands on Geonosis, and tries to contact the Jedi Council, but his ship looks really bad, and the landscape isn't right. My brother also played with and dropped the camera after this picture, meaning that the camera litteraly broke in 2, and now I have two halfs of a camera, and only 1 picture. Sad Oh well, here it is. The dio is actually bigger than that picture, but that was just supposed to be a closeup on Ob-wan.

That's the wrong size, right? Sad
