matt- nice entry maybe think of taking a side picture of it.
Jarman- cool, can I see the cargo hatch and cockpit.
Collin- Thanks for clearing that up, PLEASE PEOPLE THOROUGHLY READ THE DIRECTIONS BEFORE POSTING A QUESTION!!

Note to everyone entering the minifig scale contest please put two minifigs in the cargo hold while taking a picture. I dont know if that is possible through MLCAD but you should still show the cargo hold.

Thanks and good luck

PJ

PS: I know one of you has taken pics of minifigs in the separate cargo holds but I don't remember who but you are fine.

EDIT: Please specify if your slave is to mini or minifig scale

Well, I decided to take something old, something new, something borrowed (From my lego shelf), and something blue. ::D:

Okay lame but anyway my two favorite MOCs could be entered in this contest as the rules state we can use previously made creations but I decided to take one of them that actually was a Jango Fett ship MOC and modify it to enter the contest.

Here is a link to my original creation from over a year ago with the new ship added.http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=74407

The original ship has become the cockpit/escape pod from the complete ship...Which was harder than it looks to figure out...

I hope you like it for any who never seen this before.
Anyway...

The cockpit/escape pod alone can fit Jango( or Boba) and a prisoner or co-pilot. It has the multi directional heavy cannons on the sides and the repeaters (Eight Orange, round 1x1, plates) in center. The wings rotate to lift off and for flight mode. It uses mostly parts from Jango's Slave I, an Imperial Shuttle craft, and the wind screen from the A-Wing/B-Wing.

The fullsize ship that the smaller craft docks in, has room in the cargo bay for 2 prisoner containers and a galley for the Pilot to sleep and live. (I have to admit I have not detailed the inside of main body for the living quarters)

The fullship has two Double barrelled multi directional heavy cannons, and twin rocket launchers similar to Slave I.

The coolest thing is if you look closely you can see that Jango/Boba can climb the ladder from the cockpit and enter the main body of the fullsize ship, while remaining airtight. When the Smaller craft leaves the main ship it seals up to be airtight as well.
Not much else to say but this is my entry, i hope others actually enter as well...

Well for your sake I hope that you can squeeze two prisoners in it.

Well, simply put, this is the whole ship:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1366378

And this is the escape pod/ cockpit/ Slave IV that docks with main ship:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=679136

It is 2 ships in one. I personally like the smaller ship but it didn't fullfil all the requirements as mentioned in contest rules so I made it part of the larger ship. If this broke a rule please let me know.

Yahoo!! I'm pleased to say that not only is this the second MOC I've worked on for an FBTB contest, but it's also the first with the first digital camera I've ever owned (a Canon A510). Yeah, yeah, I'm behind the times I know. But I'm excited to finally be able to takes pics with any sort of frequency.

So here we go, I present my contest entry, the Slave 3 (full military designation: Kuat Systems SE3-P/Oh Ambassador-class vessel)!

Image 1: "At Rest"
This is an overall shot of the MOC which gives a pretty good idea of how everything was built. I tried to honor Boba's original Slave I color scheme with the judicious use of sand green, especially with the pilot Jobba Fett, but at the same time really wanted to mix things up a bit with the subtle gold accents. And like most official LEGO sets, I also had to slip a couple random red and blue bricks into the interior as I didn't have the right color parts. D'oh!

Image 2: "Glamour Shot"
Another frontal shot that highlights several of the finer details built into the front end of the Slave 3. I'm particularly pleased with how well the MOC stands upright on its own to mimic the Slave 1 in flight. I was also happy to finally find another use for those gold minifig hands. No one's going to doubt how much firepower this bad boy has!

Image 3: "Escape!"
This is my favorite image, I think, as it really gets to the heart and soul of the Slave 3: its speed, stealth, and determination to never surrender...

Image 4: "And back again"
...although its harried flights don't always quite work out as expected. Embarassed

Image 5: "Opening the cargo hold"
I'd overlooked the cargo hold requirement when I first built my Slave 3 but luckily the relatively open interior structure of the MOC made designing such a space relatively painless. This is a shot of Jobba Fett having just opened the cargo hold to see what he has stored away.

Image 6: "Avalanche"
And this is what happens when a Fett forgets just how much junk in the trunk he's been squirreling away over the years. Oops!

Thanks for looking everyone! I had a blast working on this MOC over the past few weeks. Although you can't really tell from the few pictures above, I ended up using close to 1,300 bricks to create this beast and am now completely exhausted. Phew!

Morgan19,
Very, very funny! I have to admit I laughed out loud when I saw the first picture. I didn't think it could get any better than that until I read your descriptions and viewed all of them! I think I must withdraw from the contest as I can not compete with yours!!! I look forward to your next contest entry! ::D:

Noone is pulling out of the contest on accounts of Morgans entry, for one reason....It cannot fit two bounties in it, thus it is a disqualified entry. Morgan I do too have a taste for word play as you will see in my reply the use of the word "slave" as a pun. It would be really helpful if new entries posted a SMALL image of their slave in their posts so that when I want to go back and look for a slave that I liked I only have to look at the pics on the thread.

Jaimie, awesome slave quite a good first post Wink

Thanks and Happy Building
