I know there are loads of X-Wing MOCs, but I'd like to share my representation of the famous starfighter.

It's not very boxy, just the nose, really.

Overall, I think you did a really good job here. like the techniques you ued near the cockpits, and the only real problem is the aforementioned "boxyness" of the nose. Nice work here.

Forgot to mention: The length of the X-Wing is exact minifig scale. Thanks Juns for stud converter!

i actually love the oldskool look of it. Does it use any bley pieces?

still, the main shaft is a tad to boxy.

Hey, not everyone has the pieces to build a perfectly accurate MOC- I know this first hand.

I think you did a really good job of capturing the general size, look and shape of this, Jetman, it's very recognizable. I really like the smoothed over wings. All I can recommend is a few more greebles on the bottom wings, and some slopes for the nose would help. Nice work, better than any X-Wing I ever made.

Well, judging by the variety he has used, its safe to probably say, yes, he could have made it a lot more 'smoother', rather than having a straight oblong looking nose. He probably just needs the know-how on how to make an angled flush nose more likely. Very Happy

Here is a link of my X-Wing if you want a simple view of how to make a more flush angled looking X-Wing

Actually, no. DarkBlue was right. I might work on it more using the pieces I have to make it more slopey in the future, but when I made this (earlier this year) the main focus was to get the scale right, and actually, I don't think the slope you used would fit the style of this moc, but thanks anyway and thanks to all for the compliments.

I do like it alot, it reminds me of the original system x-wing that had such a great look even though it was boxy. The only real comment I can make is the back section, it is really wide. It looks like the back end of a truck. Perhaps sliming the rear down by re-engineering the back section may help to reduce it's square end.

I know, I didn't realize until I was pretty much done that the back was off. I was hoping no one would notice. Laughing I redid the front portion slightly, so I'll put up some pics, but It's not that big of a change, just an effort to lose the boxy feel.
