The mini Outrider;

And a YT family picture.
The old MOC Falcon also has a new cockpit design.

Here a link to my flickr photostream with more pictures.

Wow that seemed fast. I do not have extensive knowledge on the appearance of the outrider, but as far as I can tell, it looks great nice greebles too. Nice to see the falcon again.

Was the Outrider Dash Rendar's ship? I'm really bad at post-Ep. 6 history.

Nicely done Rogue. I think the 4x4 slope peice looks out of place on the side but that's probaly just me.

Dash Rendar and his Outrider ship were featured in the N64 game Shadows of the Empire (it was later ported to the PC as well).

This is a very good rendition of the ship, especially considering the scale. Very nice detailing.

Shadows of the Empire was set between ESB and ROTJ. It wasn't post Ep VI.

Tim, I love this so much, it looks brilliant. The detail is great, and you got the shape bang on. Awesome as always.

Maybe you could do the Otana next, or the Ebon Hawk. Who knows, whatever's next will undoubtedly be brilliant.

Maybe it's just you seeing a 4x4 slope because there is none. Wink The sloped area is 3x3 and furthermore consists of 2 slopes of different grey shades. Razz

Back on topic, this YT-2400 is really great! Together with the YT-1300 I agree that for these permanently modified and repaired starships, using all shaed of grey we have availabe really improves the models! Excellent use of grill tiles and slopes for an excellent greebling effect. Smile

Cheers,

~ Chris

Thanks. Anyways, I have seen images of the ship, and this model is very realistic.

Wel techincally it was featured in the Book; Shadows of the Empire, which was later made into a game on the N64. (Good book btw)

Thanks everyone, a nice lot of replies for a little ship!

The top and bottom sections (basically mirrors of each other) are held together by about 8 of these , they also hold the engine lights. And getting the new 1x2 grill slopes back to back was a real challenge!

Wonderfully done! I wouldn't have figured to use those in a thousand years!

One further question through: Do those hold on the slope opposite the cockpit side of the ship? Or is it something else?

That's fantastic as usual, you really have a flair for the mini scale. It looks great, captures all the dimensions of the ship really well and looks like a cousin to your Falcon (which is stellar too).

That bit is held on with one of these on its side and attached inside the top half.

As always, this is a really nice mini, as is your MF (Which I haven't seen before, curse me), however, I have a problem with the cockpits. Maybe I'm th only one that feels this way, but something just doesn't sit right here, maybe it's the little 1 x 1 stud you put at the tips. However, the rest of the mini looks great, can't wait for your next one! Very Happy

I'm with you on the cockpits, they don't quite do it. This is how the Falcon was before but I didn't like that either. Any ideas?!

No, I actually think that first version was good, I don't have any ideas to improve it, sorry.
