Yeah. I was just wondering if I could add in lasers or something.
Or make the lights on the tree glow.

Can the vig go outside of the 12x12 base?

As far as I understand: standard vig practice is acceptable to have some mild overhang, but don't park a ship on it and say "but the landing pad is only 12x12!" or anything stupid.

Again: use common sense, and when in doubt don't do it.

Sorry I forgot to check the pixel size. I just copied and pasted the image. My many apologies! Crying or Very sad Thanks for changing it already. Embarassed

This doesn't fit the requirements but I wanted to post it anyway. And it's from my phone so the image sucks. I'll post a better one this evening.

This is not a submissions thread, and the staff is not going to start giving feedback on entries. We haven't opened submissions yet... if you want feedback, take it to a MOC thread.

You mean like this reply to the question? It was in the same post as a reply to one of your questions. Next?

A quick question; if I build a vehicle can I build a snowy scene around it? If not, how about just using a simple base plate?

Like the overhangs, we'll treat it on a case-by-case basis. Basically, if it's the scene you build around it that makes it Chrismasified, than no. If it's just an accent to an already Chrismasified ship, feel free.

I was tempted to enter...but after seeing what others have come up with, there's no way I could even come close to that level of creativity. Sad

Question: When we submit our picture, can the background and surroundings be fabricated on a editing program*, as long as we provide a picture of the actual model on hand?

*ex: Say I wanted my ship to be in a snowy background, or on Tatooine, etc.

I say no.

But I don't have a say in the matter, so you should probably listen to Ryan.

I'd echo chief, but again, it's somewhat of a case-by-case. If you're adding a few effects and touches, that's fine. If you add a whole winter wonderland to your scene, probably not.

Hey, I'm just entering for fun. I know I'm not going to win (I've never, ever made a MOC before). I'm just entering for the fun of it.

Where can you see what people have come up with? I looked on Flickr and brickshelf and could only find three vignette entries. They were very nicely done.

I already have a good idea (even though an obvious one) for the vehicle contest! I just need to find some time to build it.

I don't know what I'm gonna do for the vig contest, though. The best thing I can think of right now is a bunch of SW characters decorating a Christmas/Life Day tree, and Jar Jar messing everything up.

With the supreme magnitude of ship entries so far, I'm not so certain mine shapes up at with the immense competition I am facing. The number of Christmas-ified vehicles so far has just been...overwhelming.

Does a vig need to be 12X12? Or can it be smaller?

12x12 is the max size, it can be anything up to that.

I have a vignette that would be easier to capture if the image could be standing up so to speak. 480x640. Reading the forum image guidlines that seems to be ok. Is that true even for this competition?

I have gotten some bantha poo thrown at me more than once....so I guess this will be the place to ask the evil mods, if the Hutt who stole Christmas will fly in the Christmasfication contest? Or should I start another entry?
