When you go through your lego pieces a billion times looking for one piece and then you find it later when you don't need it anymore.

Okay, I'll post all I can think of now (without offending any countries), but I may post again later.

- people who drive too slow
- people who drive too fast
- people who come into my neighborhood and apparently cannot read english or numbers, none of them, because they all come in at about 40 mph, when the speed limit is clearly posted at 20 mph
- stores who call their employees "Team Members"
- Sarah Palin (okay, I don't hate her, but she's annoying)
- political ads that only bash the other candidates, rather than talking about their own ideas that will help the country
- Osama bin Laden
- George W. Bush (once again, don't hate him, but he's annoying)
- Jobs (from Apple, once again, don't hate him, but he's annoying)
- advertisements for fast food restaurants ("Our food isn't crappy, it's merely mediocre" lies.)
- fast food restaurants that think they can convince people to eat something by giving it a creative name ("Spicy Chicken Go Wrap")
- Applebees commercials
- people at my school who make racial comments as jokes
- Calvin, at my school who just says anything, randomly, and when you tell him to just please kindly SHUT UP, he merely replies with a musical, "No, you shut up"
- NASCAR
- people who think everything is funny
- my best friend (kidding on this one)
- stupid generalizations
- people who ask the teacher questions that were answered three seconds ago
- people who whine about nothing
- internet drama
- like dWhisper, u for you, r for are, and (you missed this one, dW) ur for your or you're
- people who ignore the COC
- people who ignore the RTB policy
- people who join forums, but never post
- spambots
- junk email (or just junk mail, for that matter)
- channels that advertise mildly to severely inappropriate products during sporting events that kids may (and will) be watching
- people who hate things with no knowledge about them ("Even though I've never heard it, I hate rap")
- TK-425 on FBTB

A few more based on the last week.

People who think they're being clever when, in actuality, they're really just being stupid.

People who don't understand or recognize sarcasm.

People who think that things like D&D or Hallowe'en are inherently demonic. (subset: Jack Chick)

People who spell Hallowe'en without an apostrophe.

I hate it when stuff gets stuck to your foot, or caught in your shoe.

You don't want to just stop in the middle of wherever you're walking, and dig out whatever made it in.

I mean, that pebble defied the laws of gravity enough, I don't need to try and balance on one foot in the middle of, say, a shopping mall and NOT look severely moronic.

I hate it when people make me repeat myself. I don't know why. I also don't like it when you ask someone nicely to do something and they 'forget' three minutes later.

One of my pet peeves is having someone with the same first name as me in a class.

I just get so irritated because I never know when the teacher is calling on him or me.

My biggest pet peeve right now is when people either A) use stair cases as places to have conversations or b) are on a staircase with me behind them and they suddenly decide to stop out of the blue midway down.

These things seriously tick me off especially when it's peek hour when most people start coming in around 12-1 pm. Wasn't a problem last year, but this year all of a sudden as if it was a new trend everyone and their mother seems to be doing it. Actually stood behind one guy who was movie like a zombie up the stairs. He looks at me and continues with the same pace. Seriously what the heck. Finally the stairs thinned out enough so not only could I pass him but everyone else behind me. Sorry for the little rant, but this has been bugging me for awhile.

Also really sets me off when people are driving and texting. I can't tell you how many times an idiot on his/her phone texting has nearly hit me whilst walking. If I hadn't been keeping an eye on traffic I probably would have been hit on some of those instances.

Mine are:
Politics
Those who are willfully ignorant (These people drive me insane)
People who use AIM and text speak
Nascar
97% of TV shows. If I see another 'New' reality TV show, I'm going to burn effigies of the network CEOs.
People who think they're entitled to your respect
People who continue to disrupt class day after day after day, despite punishment.

And I think that about covers everything.

The easiest solution is simply to not stop when they do.

Leetspeak.

People who stop in the middle of the road and drop someone off, and then talk to someone from their car.

People forcing their opinions on you

People who try to make you sound stupid because you think differently then them.

Argumentative people.

People who can't take a joke.

People who swear excessively and for no real point.

Celebrities.

Stuck up people.

Grudges.

People who use IM speak in person; ':D' 'omg' 'jk', etc.

People who use IM speak at all. Really now. Is it so hard to say 'Just kidding'?

People who type badly because it's 'easier'.

Gossip.

People who bash religions. You don't like it, that's great. But don't go and make fun of it cause you don't understand it or because you think it's wrong.

Close-minded people.

People who comment on YouTube. Do these people seriously have nothing better to do than start fights on a video site?

Disrespectful kids. You only get one mother and father. Don't treat em' like crap.

People on Xbox LIVE.

Stereotypes.

People who are easily offended.

People who jump bandwagons.

People trying to make the world Utopia. Not gonna' happen.

People who take their anger out on you, when you didn't even do anything.

People who bring up stuff that's so old and already been settled.

Girls who lead you on.

Sellouts.

People who listen to only mainstream music.

People who say they like a band, but only like their single.

People who think video games/music/movies/etc. are the source for killings.

People who make an argument, but have nothing to back themselves up.

Hypocrites.

Excessively opinionated people.

People who judge movies by who stars in it.

People who gripe about abrupt endings i.e. No Country For Old Men.

Parody films i.e. Date Movie, Scary Movie

People who don't clean up after themselves.

People who make mountains out of molehills.

Politics.

Suck-ups.

...I think that's most of it. Heh, a lot of people-related pet peeves...

I'm a nice guy. Really.

Yeah that and people who think all chain restraunts are uniform, they are not. Also people who do not understand sales tax is diffrent in other states. As well as people who get mad if their order gets messed up instead of being polite because many times the person they yell at had nothing to do with their order ie soomeone that used the drive thru blames the front counter cashier.

No I'm fine with those....it's just incredible how many people pull up so far away from the window and don't do anything to fix it.

Both spellings are correct, but the apostrophe'd version is far less common.

I cannot stand it when I have:

A) Misspellings - I am a complete freak about spelling, and I despise seeing misspelled words in my posts. I have a visceral reaction. Honestly.

B) When I post in the wrong place – I cannot stand to hit “Submit” and learn after hitting the button that I’ve put my post in the wrong thread. It just happened and I almost crushed my mouse. Hate it.

I’m not really a crazy person. Really. Wink

I think the apostrophe is placed because "Hallowe'en" is a contraction of "Hallow's Even" or something like that. All I know is that the Agatha Christie book has the apostrophe, so it must be correct.

Ah c'mon, that was years ago, how can you bring that up now.

A few more;

Bus drivers

Cycle lanes that are too thin

Drivers that take up cycle lanes

When things don't arrive when they should

Not getting remembrance Sunday off from gliding so I can parade through the town and join in my Sqn band

The one hour commute to get to the RAF station where I do the gliding

How close Lewis Hamilton was to losing his title, seriously, the couple of laps before the final few seconds almost had me in tears, or at the very least, breaking the TV

That DVDs and such have to be region specific around the world, why can't they just be all the same, and the same quality appliances. (I've heard, but could be wrong, that American TVs are crap, picture quality wise, compared to those in Europe. PAL or something)

That I can never just get up in the morning. My alarm clock will wake me up, I'll turn it off, and then get back to my covers

People who use 4 instead of A

Those pre-recorded messages in those really theatrical voices that automatically call to tell me I've won a cruise

English weather, seriously, it sucks

Lack of a decent snow fall for the last decade and a half. We've had some in february and march, and a sprinkling in december that never stayed (where I live). But I want a nice thick amount of snow, at Christmas, that lasts, will let us muck about and have fun, but that also allow my dad to get to work

The Writers strike from last year, I know it's been and gone, for a long while now, but because the series that it affected are out this half of '08 it's hitting again how annoying it was. Especially when retailers feel the need to charge the same amount for the new 13 episode series as they did for the new 22 episode series this time last year

Season 4 of BSG is the last season, I get why, but ya know

When I know there are more things that annoy me, but I just can't think
Ah well.

I think Hallowe'en was originally "All Hallow's Eve" (It may have been old, I don't know), because it was the night before "All Hallow's Day". The Celtics thought that the spirits of the dead would rise that day, so, if I remeber right, they carved faces into turnips to scare off spirits and dressed up...for some reason or another, I haven't checked my history books lately. Jigame! Good times.
Joed, was it you who, years ago in the Randomness thread, posted a really random riddle, to the effect of:

"If you're walking in the desert with a canoe and the wheels fall off, how many pancakes does it take to build a doghouse?

None! Icecream has no bones!"

Laughing I still use that to this day, to the point where it's an inside joke among my friends and I. Yep, I've been lurking for that long.

I might add that I, too, am a grammar Nazi. The problem is that I am a horrible typer. I guarantee you there's a mistake in this post.

I agree that the recent "parody" movies that you mention are crap. However, not all parody movies are bad, you just need to go back 10-20 years. Monty Python anything, the Naked Gun trilogy, Spaces Balls and every other Mel Brooks movie... there's some really great classics.

Anyways, a few more:

Hot secretaries that wear pants that are oh-so-tight and wiggle their butts oh-so-nicely despite the fact that they are engaged. I already know I have no chance with you, but do you really need to rub it in my face? What do you want from me?

Sensational News shows.

People who think diversity means your skin color is different.

Heartland racists who don't think they're racists.

People who single others out because they are not like them. Heaven forbid someone has different interests, opinions, and/or ideas than you.

Having to get up and go to work in the morning.

That's what I meant, Jude. I love Monty Python. Mel Brooks is funny too, just haven't seen much. But today's humor? It's not even funny.

Hooly Crap. I'm gonna break pet peeve #5 on your last list there, dude. So...I'll say sorry now.

This is a pet peeve? My God, man, if they want rub it in your face…let ‘em. When I was single I would have killed for this complaint. If your married, I get it, if you’re single… I’m almost at a loss for words. Ask yourself one question; what do you think her fiancé would do if he were in your shoes? There is nothing wrong with appreciating the female form.

(As long as it isn’t in a creepy-leering-serial killer-“I want to marry my Slave Leia minifig” kind of way)

This kind of reminds me of another pet peeve of mine:

The guy that has to tell you your wife is hot…and you’re lucky.

Of course I need that validation from him, because I’m completely unaware of the fact my wife is hot due to the fact I married her. How about strapping on a pair and not hiding behind semantics that you’re checkin’ out my lady. I’m not that stupid.

Any other married dudes out there that get this one? I don’t want all four of to you answer at once now. Razz
