:D Bad Kitty, and Don't be Crabby are awesome names! Well to be honest the name "Lucky Lekku 2" was pretty much slapped on because I couldn't find out what the ship was called
I'll be sure to update it once I find out what "greenie's" name. _________________ My BrickSHELF | My BrickLINK |

edit: now with bombing mission markers. not sure what happened to this one, once I merged the layers it got messed up a little, I think because I forgot to merge the layers before I saved it, and the auto-merge pixilated it a bit. when it gets reduced to actual size it won't be noticable.

I went with English words with a funky font because I just loved the extra "R"'s there, and because it echoes the extra "Y"'s in the Wookie home planet's name. The "Wookie Roarrrr" was so named by a clone pilot who was taken to Kashyyyk's beauty, and the anger he felt at the destruction caused by the CIS armies there. _________________ Veni Vidi Posti- I came, I saw, I posted...

Now that is a great concept! You're right merely photoshoping it onto the blank template doesn't do it enough justice.
You HAVE to draw this! _________________ My BrickSHELF | My BrickLINK |

NOW THAT, IS A COOL NOSE ART! So many gunship designs, so few gunship panels, and even fewer gunships (or in my case 1 ). Still great piece of work, and a particularly nice touch, imo, is the sparks coming off the decapitated droid. Nice job.
Blackninjatom
P.S. I should have another one up soon, by the name of, "Is this your ship?"
edit: I have finished my most recent gunship,"Is this your ship?"
I decided it was only fitting to draw a Bothan, so I took Count Blockula's Bothan avatar, and lego-fied it. I also decided to add some vulture droid kills, for variety sake. This was my first gunship with a minifig on it, and it definitely takes some extra time to lego-fy a character, and then paint; as opposed to, just taking an animal and going from that.

If I had a Flickr I would post mine.
As for the jawa. If I had time I would make some more, but we are in the process of moving (yah not fun), and as a result the normal schedule of life has been scrapped, and been replaced with the transferring our many un-jedi-like possessions from house A to house B.
Great jawa,

Awesome, awesome, awesome work guys! Good idea with setting up the flickr group gold_2. If you don’t mind could you post up my work on that group? I don’t have a flickr account just yet.
I’ll be finished my exams very soon, so I have a lot of nose-art catching up to do. Gee some really creative designs out there already, and rather funny ship names too! I just copy designs from the TV series. Hahaha
Oh I see that you have discovered the power of Illustrator heyBlackninja? . You are absolutely right it does take quite a bit of care and effort to Lego-fy real or even cartoon characters. I suppose your work paid off didn't it? _________________ My BrickSHELF | My BrickLINK |

Actually I just took your advise on the resolution, and have still used photoshop. I have been using, paint, for the letters, but everything else is still photoshoped.
gold_2 would you be able to load mine onto the flickr also?
edit: never mind

well, I'm about to run out of room on my photostream, but if you have a Yahoo account you should be able to get a flickr account. they're easy to set up.
I didn't start the group, some other SW fan did it after he found my images. but its super-easy to do. _________________ Veni Vidi Posti- I came, I saw, I posted...

Not to be outdone, many Low Altitude Assault Transport/carrier (LAAT/c) pilots also painted nose art on their crafts. Though not heavily armed, LAAT/c pilots often kept score of the number of "drops," referring to their ability to drop their payload on unsuspecting battle droids or other enemies. The 'Beast of Burden' was famous for this skill, even boasting a "kill" on a spider droid, for which its pilot was immensely proud.
A quickie. The Bantha image is taken straight from a SW Lego screencap, and the "kills" are reduced pics of actual lego battle droids. It took about 1 1/2 hr, including time to find pics on Google.

I've got a few more exciting ideas in the works, but I'll definitely try the Space Slug for a LAAT/c soon...
...and here it is!
The 'Lybeya Belt Slugger' gained brief notoriety after the Battle for Geonosis when it managed to take out 6 Geonosians in one drop, a difficult feat considering Geonosians are fast and can fly. However, the LAAT/c has not been as successful in subsequent campaigns.
The 'Slugger' was so named for the sluggish controls of the LAAT/c's. The Lybeya Belt is of course the enormous asteroid belt in the Lybeya System (I swear, Wookiepedia shows an asteroid belt in the system with this name) long rumored to be the home of the mythical Giant Space Slug. How fortuitous.

I can't believe no one has done a Wampa, or did I just not see it? (I'd design one myself if I had any artist talent.) These are all really good. Now I just need to get myself a dozen gunships. _________________ "I'm not locked up in here with you. You're locked up in here with me." - Rorschach, Watchmen |

odst7 has done one he posted on Flickr on the Nose Art group, but it's different from the one shown here:
I think you'd have to actually have the set, and then switch out some lime for dark red, to make this picture work. But hey, I was gonna try that anyways... _________________ Veni Vidi Posti- I came, I saw, I posted...

Wow! you have been busy gold_2, to say the least. "Beast of Burden," is particularly comical. I haven't had time to do much lately (moving), but I will be back with more when I have an idea, and the time necessary to execute that idea. I also have added my stickers to the flickr group thing (I am new to this).
Keep the stickers coming (and minis too ),

In general, I'm really digging the whole nose art thing. However, I think "Lybeya Slugger" flows better than trying to spit out "Lybeya Belt Slugger." Just a suggestion.
