*cue Star Wars intro*

A long time ago, but somehow in the future...

Yep, they're making a Family Guy version of The Empire Strikes Back. Starring:

Peter Griffin as Han Solo
Lois Griffin as Princess Leia
Chris Griffin as Luke Skywalker
Brian Griffin as Chewbacca
Stewie Griffin as Darth Vader
Mort Goldman as Lando Calrissian
Glen Quagmire as C-3PO
Cleveland Brown as R2-D2
Ernie the Giant Chicken as Boba Fett
Joe Swanson as an Imperial Probe droid

(Not sure if it has been posted yet...) Discuss...

That image is from the Wikimedia site, so there must be a Wikipedia article linking to it somewhere...

Ah, here it is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Something,_Something,_Something,_Dark_Side

No air dates (yet). Season 7 Fall, 2008 - Spring, 2009.

Blue Harvest aired as the Season 6 premiere in September 2007, so assuming this one will also be the premiere it can't be far off.

Doesn't the Emperor make an appearance in Ep V? If so, I really would like to see who is portraying him. It might be Adam West. There really is no one else, I guess.

Adam West was Tarkin in Blue Harvest, so it might be confusing to some people if they re-hash him as Palpatine.

True, but if you own the extended cut of Blue Harvest, you will see that Joe Swanson previously portayed Biggs Darklighter, but could not take part in the assault on the Death Star due to him being handicapped from being crushed by a Y-Wing.

Instead, he stayed behind and made sandwiches for those who returned.

Also, Mort Goldman played a Jawa in the first Family Guy special.

So, Adam West still has a chance of being the Emperor, seeing he is the only known Family Guy character with a political position. Let's not forget that Tarkin was killed off.

On the extras on the Blue Harvest DVD, the writers say that the prequals wouldn't be out of the question either.

I read somewhere that Ollie Williams (It's gonna rain!) would play Lando. Mort doesn't fit that role.

Well it'll still be good but I'll have to watch it secretly because I'm not allowed to watch Family Guy (Shhh!). It's gonna rock!

I think Peter's dad (the Catholic one) should play the Emperer, I forget his name.

How about that red-haired kid from the playground... Stewie's nemesis? (forget the character's name, but is voiced by that guy from Princess Bride)

You mean Bertram, Stewie's half brother? That wouldn't work.

I think it would. The fact that he is short, intelligent, and Stewie's enemy fits well. The only problem is that Bertram is generally regarded as the bad guy of the two.

I got it for Yoda. Evil Monkey!

Who better for Chris to learn the ways of the force from than his biggest fear.

It would give a bit a of a twist if you ask me.

I can see Monkey doing the evil stare and point as he lifts the X-wing out of the swamp.
