I was just wondering if Lego as any plans to produce extra CW sets in the future, or is all we have all we ever will have?

Thanks

I really want to see a Tri-droid or an octaparra droid. Maybe even on of those gunships that drops off AT-TEs. Of course there's also the wishful thinking of a clone battle pack.

Probally as long as the Clone Wars TV series goes on, we'll probally see Clone Wars sets. Or it could be just this one time for a publicity stunt to get the TV series known, and then we'll see no more Clone Wars sets, but I hope we get more. I'm sure that in the next line of sets in December, we'll see a few more CW sets, and hopefully a battle pack. But its only speculation now...

We'll probably see some more, like for one thing something with Dooku. Nothing more has been announced, though, as far as I know.

Considering The Clone Wars is planned to last around a hundred episodes, I'd say the chances are pretty good you'll see more Clone Wars sets before LEGO's Star Wars license ends in 2011.

There have been rumors, but they violate the RtB policy here on FBTB. If you'd like to see the discussions, or join in, there is a thread on Eurobricks.

I can't see why they wouldn't do at least another wave or two. There is still a lot to cover and that's just some of the stuff we know about. In 100 episodes of TCW we are sure to get many, many new ships. Sure there are still quite a few things from the movies that should/could be produced (theta shuttle) but IMO the advertising blitz for TCW movie is much more aggressive even than RotS.

And those 100 Episodes are all about the Clone Wars? But isn't that just the years between episode 2 and 3, and wasn't there already an animated movie about these years?

True but the last animated series barely covered any of it. This one will be much better! Very Happy

I can't see us not getting any more CW ships, there are so many... There's the new and ridiculously ugly Republic Y-Wing from the upcoming movie, and we're overdue a Theta class or it's slightly different variant. The CIS have got loads of models that we've not had yet, such as a crab droid or octuparra.

I really want more battle packs, to be honest... Very Happy

Yes. Battle packs are where it's at for me. Forget the completely overpriced ships, I want clones and plenty of 'em.

If the war lasted exactly three years, that's 1095 days. 100 episodes could easily cover that when you consider that a storyline of four 1/2 hour episode could show us two hours of story. Right?

Honestly, I'd be suprised if they don't make a clone battlepack considering the success* of the other battlepacks they've done. The problem I see is what do they do about the bad guy battlepack? Would they do another droid version so soon? I suppose they could use that to give us the Octuptarra droid. Then again, the storyteller sets only lasted a couple of years before being discontinued so who knows.

*success. Judged by stores in my area always being sold out and when new ones come are sold immediately.

They better! Though I doubt the onslaught will be anywhere near as great as this year's assortment. I wouldn't even be surprised if we saw one more Force Unleashed set released next year.

I would definitely spend my money on LEGO Star Wars: The Force Unleashed than Clone Wars. Wink

All except for the fugtoon figures. The Phase 1 clones are pretty cool and blend in well with the older minifigs. Bring on more CW sets (Since the announcement of the movie, I am a convert). However, I hope they review the cartoony look. Or at least tone it down a little.

Has anyone else noticed a Y-wing on the movie poster? I'm guessing it will be called a BTL-B. Check it out at Wookiepedia. That would make a great set. They look different to the Y-wings of Episode IV. They had panels over the wiring. The rebels kept them off because of continual maintenance. I guess if you have a ship that is almost twenty years old, it figures.

I hope it continues just for the sake of getting more rainbow clones. We need a pink commander, a periwinkle lieutenant, and a mauve sergeant. Wink

I think they should make a:

Phase 1 Clone Battlepack I think they should raise the price and include more Clones.
Vehicle: Similar to original clone battlepack - speeder and turret.
Minifigs: I'd go with a high price and more figs. Maybe
2 Clone troopers
1 Clone trooper sergeant (green, jet trooper in BF2)
1 Clone trooper lieutenant (blue, heavy trooper in BF2, I think)
1 Clone trooper captain (red, sharpshooter in BF2)
1 Clone trooper major/commander (both are yellow, so you could use your imagination when deciding which one, engineer in BF2)
Price: $15 (US)

I'll describe the other set I want to see after dinner.

I'm delusional. The rest of my family besides me is eating a very late lunch, so intelligent old me, not looking at the clock, logs off and heads in for dinner. Embarassed So the other set I want to see is the:

LAAT/c
Ship: Obviously it should be to scale with the new AT-TE. It should basically look like the RGS but without the troop bay and instead an empty space with something to couple to the carrying handle on the AT-TE. My only question is: Would an LAAT/c to scale with the AT-TE be about the same size as the RGS. (I have the AT-TE but not the RGS.)
Minifigs: You wouldn't buy an LAAT/c for the minifigs, but this is a good opportunity for an army builder. How about this:

1 Clone trooper pilot
2 Clone troopers
1 Clone Commander/Major (A Commander or at least a Major would supervise this delicate a procedure. And as I said earlier, they look the same, so you can use your (rainbow begin) imagination (rainbow end)

Price: To me, this would be bigger than the AT-TE, but less dense. I think that $75 would be resonnable, but given the prices of the other Clone Wars sets, I'd say this would be $80. TLC could even offer it in a bundle with the AT-TE and give, say, $10 off. Smile

Nice ideas! But I don't know if TLG would do the LAAT/c. The battlepack sounds more realistic, though I doubt it would have that many clones. I sure wish that they would do it though!

Guys, have you not seen Spaceballs? The whole point of Star Wars is merchandising, merchandising, merchandising. That's if you don't count Lucas' habit of repackaging everything every three years to sell the same thing multiple times...

There will definitely be CW sets tied in to the TV show when it comes out.
