Interesting indeed, it appears that Luke will be staying hippie haired for the continuation of the liscence...
I guess I'll check out wizaduniverse.com on June 20th then... _________________ http://www.ogame.org |

Haha not very secret anymore! And you are most welcome Draykoxv, and BCspeed34.
How many figures do you think the set will have? I am definitely hoping for either a Death Star Gunner or for a Imperial Fleet Trooper Although I am not getting my hopes up. I suppose an extra Princess Leia would be nice.
LEGO is really churning out heaps of SW sets this year! What is the official 2008 set count as of now? _________________ My BrickSHELF | My BrickLINK |

Great info! This answers many of my questions about the new death star set. Now we know it will most likely be a playset and not just the model, which in my opinion is way better. _________________ OMGz a link!-->Flickr |

I have mixed feelings about that when I saw the news earlier on.
On the positive side, this means there is a huge probability of having a cell block scene with Leia and medical droid and/or the trash compactor scene
On the negative side, I really hope that those are NOT considered as new figs or that will aggravate me dearly (like Wedge which is solely a new helmet).

I suppose I'd rather see the Luke and Han figs from the UCS Falcon, as trooper disguises would be simple and affordable customs, but I think it's a little soon to complain about this one. _________________ Hail Brains!

Oh I love to imagine future news and whine about it
At least you gave them the sweet printed legs.
Oh and I would love an Obie fig.
So i think its pretty fair to assume that we will have Han, Luke, Leia, Obie, Vader and rthats already 5 figs. Doesn't leave much space for a new fig like the DS trooper but who knows.
I can't wait for that baby to be shown at Brickworl in Chicago in just a few days

Yah that is kinda lame. I really really want a normal han with flesh like with the new falcon, and this is aperfect way to get one. Too bad TLC has to be self centered. _________________ OMGz a link!-->Flickr |

Han's torso in the UCS Falcon does not show the same skin color as the head, its a lighter shade. Total dissapointment.
As for the article, it really doesn't reveal much. I don't mind Luke's hippie hair, but I think it's about time they give him a more accurate hair color. _________________

Well, this is likely to be over $100 dollars, so we're likely to be getting around 10 figures. I also think that there's a good chance we'd get a DS gunner, using the new rebel helmet.
Here's what I'm hoping for:
Han and Luke in disguise
Leia
Vader and Obi
3PO and R2 (Maybe)
Chewbacca
Death Star gunners, stormies, officers, the works. TONs of Imperials. There could be a whole "Death Star" line, first the main playset, then a couple of Imperial battle packs with add-on rooms (akin to Jabba's Palace) than to counter the imperials, release some rebel pilots on Yavin with service carts as the principle model. But, I'm getting carried away here. Move along..
More things I hope for
Liea's cell block
Interrogation room (Maybe)
Meeting room (The room with the big circlular table)
Docking bay for Tie fighter
Tie Fighter remake (Will up the price, but I don't care)
Trash Compacter
Room with tons of Stormies
Room for Vader and Obi to fight
Tractor beam control panel
Room for superlaser
Now, if they put all of this into 1 set, it would probably cost over 150 dollars, maybe even 200. But I don't care! Up the price all you want, as long as I get my dream set!! I wants my preciousss...my preciousss... _________________ Well, time to face the new world at FBTB II... |

Yeah, and you know that we got it!
I'm looking forward to it. Just the holding cell, the trash compactor and the tractor beam platform would make me happy. _________________

Bet you this DS set is going to be like 7666 Hoth Rebel Base - Limited Edition! They will sell like the proverbial, I'm guessing.
Personally, I prefer the new Luke look. It makes more sense to use the long-hair for the mini-fig as he did have long hair and as it was much longer than Hans.
I'm sure there will be at least 2xDeath Star Troopers. Who else will Luke and Han fight when they get to the detention level! TLC needs to have DS Troops if they want to make the set a hot seller, just like with the Snowies and Hoth Rebels did for 7666. _________________ "Wow! Did you see that Jawa's head come apart man?!?

I'd like to see the CW Anakin in yellow for Luke. It might look weird, but it's not parted like for V and VI or long and flowing like in IV. _________________

you know what would be really awesome..similar to Flynn's idea of a principle set with add-ons...do that with layers...like the harry potter series with hogwarts and whatnot..cuz i really wanna see that elevator..that would be uber cool and the sets could be fit into a ring for the shield generator shaft...

I hope the sneek peek thing isn't only on Friday, I won't be here that day because I'll be helping set up the Olympic Air Show.
I really don't mind Luke's long hair, I need that color of that hairpiece anyway. Hopefully the set isn't that expensive. _________________ CGF UPDATE

We could build these two figs with already released bricks.
I hope we'll get not-yet-released figs and some Death Star "army-building" sets to get lot of Death Star troopers.
This is a fine teasing, sometime our passion must get some virtual food while we're waiting for new sets.
Good new: the heads have normal (not manga) Lego printing. |

I've missed a bit of this. Is there going to be a Death Star playset? I thought that there was only going to be a Death Star like the Death Star II. If there is I would like to see some new molds maybe a conference room with all the special officers and troopers. |

This will be nice. My sons can get all the Clone War stuff, and I can get my beloved Death Star. It should be a verry Merry Crusader Family Christmas this year. _________________ "He is a very shallow critic who cannot see an eternal rebel in the heart of a conservative." - G.K.Chesterton |

But sweet, I really want to see what this set will turn out like. It has alot of potential _________________
