Just a general question. With some of the newer colors and pieces introduced in recent years, is there room for improvement with some of the current SW figure designs or are they fine as they are? I think some figures should take advantage of the newer parts for diversity and also make them slightly more film accurate (or as accurate as a Lego toy can get) Here are some examples:

- R2-D2 using a pearl silver dome instead of a white one, with revised printing that covers the whole dome rather than just the top half.

- Luke's (and possibly prequel Obi-Wan's) hair color being changed to dark tan (like TPM Anakin)

- Han using the Mutt hairpiece instead of the generic male hairpiece.

- Leia's hair color being changed to dark brown.

- Color variations in Jedi robes using the different browns, tans and greys.

- Padawans like AOTC Anakin and TPM Obi-Wan using the flat top hair instead of the generic male one.

- The main characters getting double sided faces. Some of the alternative ones could be ROTS Anakin with a Sith Lord face, Padme with a scared face or Luke/Han/Leia/Obi-Wan with an angry face like they're right in the middle of a fight.

- R2-D2 using a pearl silver dome instead of a white one, with revised printing that covers the whole dome rather than just the top half.

Given the way the studs of this cylinder fit into the 2x2 dome that is R2's head, it would probably look funny. If we're talking about a white cylinder and a pearl silver head, the white studs would stand out from the silver 2x2 dome.

- Luke's hair color being changed to dark tan (like TPM Anakin)

It's close enough as is if you ask me.

- Han using the Mutt hairpiece instead of the generic male hairpiece.

Personally, I like Han with the standard hair.

- Leia's hair color being changed to dark brown.

That wouldn't be a bad move, but there are so few Leia figs, I doubt it'll come up any time soon...and Reddish Brown isn't so far off.

With the possible exception of the Leia hair, this all seems like "if it ain't broke..." type stuff to me. What I'd like to see (aside from completely new figs of characters and outfits we've not seen yet in minifig form) are fleshified versions of figs that we've not seen since before 2004:

-Lobot
-Dagobah Luke
-scout trooper/T-16 pilot
-Padme
-Jango Kazooie (thanks, Junsey)
-Dooku (mad props to RogueJedi007)
-Zam Wessel (I <3 9thO)
-Biggs Darklighter (NinthCircle FTW)
-Mini Boba (raising the roof for General Veers)

...am I missing anyone?

You're missing Jango Fett in fleshie form. I do hope we see a re-release of him someday.

Personally I like the idea of a new R2. I have so many of them, that a new one wouldn't be a bad thing.

I'll have to try out some of the new hair for Han and Luke. Certainly with all the new hairpieces out now, something might be better. The Classic male hair is failrly boring in contrast to the new stuff.

A flesh Dooku would be nice. As well as Palpatine.

Yea I agree. Lego should move to use the flesh heads on some of the older minifigures.

I'd also like to see a fleshified Biggs (with a hairpiece and helmet).

I've most distinctly been craving a flesh Lobot, Dagobah luke, and sundry Padmes.

A Zam Wessel (sp?) wouldn't hurt neither.

And we could really use a Qui Gon with a hairpiece (shame a hairpiece wasn't included in the Republic Crusier).

Sorry, Jimbo. I didn't mean to neglect giving you credit, I just don't really consider him to be a "legit" SW minifig given that it was just a head previously used in City/Life on Mars sets slapped on a Jedi robe torso. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing all LEGO minifigs converted to flesh (blasphemy, I know), so ultimately, I lke the suggestion...but I just don't typically acknowledge Jedi Jimmy as a SW character.

^Actually, I agree on the move to flesh. If you're going to do anything, do it all the way.
Oh, and I'd like to see young boba, since we're adding Jango.

I can, too. However, the clones don't have the black pilot hoods Jango had. It's a little shame, really, for the hoods would have fitted quite well with clone trooper helmets, and there would be black necks visible instead of fleshie ones.

And it'd make more sense, because wasn't there a neck seal?

Yes there was, plus reversible heads are awesome.

Why do I remember having one before that? Or maybe I'm just going crazy, probably crazy.

Harry? You mean, Harrison...Han? Maybe your talking about an obscure character from ESB
If not, we got a Hoth Han in the 4504 Falcon. That hood is a cool piece. Pity it was only available in the 4504 set. 6212 has ESB Han as well (no hood though).

Draykov is spot on. I'd love to see a Dagobah Luke Flesh - I make Flesh MOC's from the magnets. You can use flesh arms (from Bikini Leia) and one of the many Luke heads (recently from 7666 Hoth Base, 6212 X-wing) to make a MOC fleshie, but the you can't fix the coloring around the neck and shoulder area.

Perhaps Dagobah Luke could be released in a Jedi Training or Yoda's hut set.

For Training have Dagobah Luke, Yoda, R2-D2. Rocks, Snakes, Grass and an 8x8 platform. A $10US set, or something equivalent to the City Lego pocket money sets!

For the Hut you could go nuts with it, make a US$20-$25 set. I'm sure you would get a few buyers, being that the last time we saw Yoda was in the Wookie Catamaran!

Scary thinking with the Clone Wars sets coming up. I'd hate to see what a Creepy Yoda would look like!

You could have a Dagobah Cave set with Darth Vader (with Luke head) and Dagobah Luke but it would be inaccurate, considering Luke put on his "Bespin" shirt on to go in the cave.

Hey, come to think of it. How about a new Cloud City, something less extravagant than the old one. Something like the Hoth Base... With a Cloud Car!
I would purchase the old set (and leave myself with a hole in my wallet) if the minifigs were flesh. Lando would be the only mini-fig not in need of a flesh MOC.

Dooku in flesh would be nice. And please not a "CreepyMF" face!
Also, a flesh Padme is sorely needed.

I think Joedward is referring to the rebel Hoth trooper

He's referring to this guy which was included in both 7130 and 4500. My take on this one is pretty much the same as Jedi Jimmy (the head started life as an Aquashark) but even more so since we have seen fleshed out Hoth Rebel troopers in 7666 with smiley heads.

You're probobly just thinking you've seen one before because its just a Episode 3 Obi Torso with a Luke Skywalker head.

Can't you just change all of the hairpieces by yourself, without having to have LEGO do it in a set? Like the padawan flat tops or Mutt hair on Han Solo. These changes just seem so insignificant that it is unlikely that they're actually worth changing in a set.
