Nor are they really going to be piloted, shoot lasers, or save the galaxy from the evil Empire...but it's still nice to incorporate those kinds of things into a representation of a SW ship. I, for one, support air-tight cockpits (or reasonable facsimiles thereof).

With the big news of the Deathstar playset being annouced, I am wondering how that will play into something like the Home One. Hopefully it will be of the same calibur, but also hopefully scalled down a tad bit. Smile

Who in their right mind would pay $399 USD for a Home One playset. Nothing happened on that ship except a briefing, Han and Lando saying goodbye, and "It's a trap!" If it's over $150, it better be really good for me to want to get it.

As far as the chibi Tie being translated over to a chibi A-wing, it would be a neat novelty, as long as they only did it with playsets and kept the regular ships coming as separate sets. I really hope it will be a slightly scaled-up 6211 ISD or Republic Cruiser-type set, which is what I am gradually constructing for my own amusement.

But don't you want the set where one of our favourite lines to quote was said Wink You can now recreate Acbar's Famous line "ITS A TRAP" and "OUR CRUISERS CAN"T REPEL FIRE OF THAT MAGNITUDE"

Any updates on this set? I'm really curious to see what's in the works for the Winter / New Year's Lego models. Usually by this time, we've begun to hear some stuff. Very Happy

Are you sure? Doesn't stuff start popping up at the end of August.

And I remember seeing a picture on Flickr that had 'Palpatine's' hair, making me think this set won't be made.

I can't seem to find it again, but it didn't seem custom.

I'll go have a deeper look.

No. As said from the start, this will be revealed next year, and they're not releasing any information until then.

They were taken at a LEGO store in Chandler, Arizona. Here are some more pics.

They were taken in Chandler? Where in the store? I can pretty much see the mall from my house.

If you go to the back of the store and look in one of the display cases in the shelfs, one of them displays a bunch of minifigures walking, one of them using that hairpeice.

I don't know if anyone has info on how the poll turned out at TRU's site, but here at FBTB the results were as follows:

The Arrest of Palpatine 29%
Slave I and Cloud City Landing Platform 4%
Mon Calamari Cruiser Set 52%
None of these 13%

Total Votes : 168

And by my count, Palpatine was mentioned only 2 times in the chat with LEGO to Ackbar's 12 (at least what I saw of it).

Just because we see a new gray hair piece (that we don't even know for certain is intended for a Palpatine fig) doesn't mean the Home 1 set won't be made.

At the same time I imagine a higher percentage of kids will vote for the Jedi set than in this poll because they like Jedi and who knows how many of them even know what the Home 1 is.

Well you know, this hair piece could really work well on a CW Dooku as well Wink So I don't think we have to trash that Ackbar fig (I really want both but Ackbar rules !!).

Also I had another idea regarding the Home one playset: to have a miniature A-Wing like the miniature Tie X-1 in the DS set Wink I really would love that and it would be really cool if TLG expanded on thet new scale.

Aye, that would work well for a CW Dooku.

And I'm much more willing to believe LEGO will make an Ackbar mini fig since I've seen the new CW Jedi figures.

Before that I was skeptical over weather or not we'd ever see an Ackbar molded head.

Briefing Room. Bridge. Shuttle update. Admiral Ackbar. Endor Han/Leia and Rebel Crew. No new A-wing. The current A-wing is good enough (not that the Shuttle isn't) and it will jack up the price.

R4? With a new conical 2x2 element that tapers up and has a flat top...that'd be awesome. Better yet, make it squatty and have an R5. If that's too much, I'd settle for another R2 in some new fruity flavor.

Juat as long as its not teh pink R2 Unit as seen in the new Clone Wars movie next to r2d2.

I have not seen Clone Wars yet, but apparently the pink R2 is R2-KT, and has a good story behind it: http://www.r2kt.com/ http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R2-KT

I think it would be cool to have a R2-KT show up in the form of LEGO, not necessarily in this set, since the only other Star Wars stuff I buy are the video games and LEGO!

I thought that it was pretty lame until I checked out ROTJ again. I didn't realise how much of the Hangar Sequence was shown. It was actually quite important in the grand scheme of things. And for a ratio of set to screen time it does in fact have more screen time than the Clone Turbo Tanks, Tank Droids, Droid Gunships, Wookie Catamarans, Wookie Ornithoptors and AT-PT's put together.

i would want in that set
1.-4-5 mon clas, including ackbar
2-lando, mon motha, all other generals
3-han,leia,luke,3-4 pilots.
5-imperial shuttle, and possibly an a-wing
it would probably be 150-200 dollars, but hey it sounds cool
