We've seen the "big four" ships coming this summer...but they're all on the pricier side. What do you think the smaller sets (in the $9.99-$19.99 range) will be?

Commence idle speculation! Personally, I'd like to see some swoop bikes. Some battle packs featuring aliens would be nice, too!

Nothing! Hahaha... there are no small sets, you'll have to shell out piles of cash this wave to get anything halfway decent. Wink

I would bet my money for Phase I clone battle pack. It sounds like the most likely option if the summer really will be mostly CW-themed.

Still, it's strange that there haven't been any information about the smaller sets on ToyFairs - or anywhere. One could begin to think that Don is actually right... Razz

Phase 1 clones

Basically, clones a-la Episode 2, with the fins on their helmets.

Well it's still early, our wallets I mean we might be fortunate enough to get some smaller or atleast medium sized sets later in the year.

Phase I

*edit dang it beaten
That Phase I BP does sound very enticing though.

any small set would be ever so lovely for Lego to come out with. But I really don't think there will be any smaller sets. We got two BPs thats as many small sets there was last year as well.

I don't think that we'll get another Clone BP, Phase I or II, because we've already gotten the droid battlepack. Thus, there wouldn't really be anything for the Clones to go up against... Unless... Yes, perhaps a Hutt Crime Lord Battle Pack is in order!! Razz ...NOT!!

There is nothing in the dealer catalog, so I would sure not expect anything outside the 4 larger sets.

This is the first year in a while with some fresh SW material to base sets on. That might be the reason that they feel confident that the demand for these bigger sets would be enough. With a new boost to the franchise it may have been stupid of LEGO to offer cheaper sets for parents to buy for birthdays and christmas. Wink

generally the way we release a line for a given year is to start off with the smaller price points in January and release the bigger ones in July. $20-$30 is about as cheap as you can expect for a 2nd half launch in a given year.

I would hope and pray to see an "order 66" playset within the Jedi Library with some jedi vs. anikan and clone troopers.

That's not so bad. It's the $50+ stuff that kills me. At least, when it's all at once. Smile

Genosians? 4 of those in a battlepack would sell pretty dang well.

Perhaps.. At least if there were some other troopers (battle droids or something like that), for the Geos aren't themselves so well-known among the public. They're very cool, nevertheless, so I believe they would sell well anyway.

Now would also be a good moment to produce a battle pack (or any set) with Geonosians; LEGO is already making minifigs in dark tan, which would be pretty much the perfect colour for Geonosians, very much better than dark bley.

I think they should come out with different arena sets...the genosian BP and a Phase I Clone BP, the republic gunship (already coming back) and the arena as one HUGE set or possible different sections as sets like Jabba's palace only much, much bigger.

The trouble with that concept is that, (as far as we know,) the Arena will not be involved in the new CW cartoon/movie. And, I may wrong on this, as I haven't seen the trailer in a while, (not that the trailer provided me with heaps of info,) but I didn't think that the Geonosians had a major role to play in the movie...

I'm all for getting the Republic Gunship and certain other un-official Republic Medium Tank, but yea, a small set like a Phase 1 Clone Trooper Battlepack, or maybe a small set with a Neimodian, like...hola wow...

#6689 Viceroy Nute Gunray with Mechno Chair
Nute Gunray is recieving orders from Darth Sideous, who is projected in a hologram on top of the walking Mechno Chair! Includes Nute Gunray, Mechno Chair, Holographic Darth Sideous, and two Neimodian Guards.
#6689 Viceroy Nute Gunray with Mechno Chair $6.99

Smile

I'd also like to see something Impulse sized. A standard Clone Trooper on a Speeder Bike would be pretty nice. It's counterpart could be a Battledroid on the cool blue STAP. Smile

As annoying as the Neimoidians were, a set featuring them would be awesome. We do need more aliens.

Yeah, there's an entire thread dedicated to them, since you didn't seem to notice. Razz

Here it is.

There's an existing thread for sets you'd like to see, and the question was answered. Last thing we need is another speculation thread.
