Those are of different design.

These pics where new to me as well. I've only seen the part lists before so it was nice to see the instructions. Thanks.

yankeeken: When you point out that something is "old news", Why don't you submit the link so that the poster can have easy access and join the discussion he missed? Just a thought.

The previous thread disrespected the brick, and subsequetly got deleted. It only had the parts list that S@H has on it's replacement database.

Nice find btw, but is it definitely an official release, or is this disrespecting the brick as well.

Personally, I don't think I'll pay for those. I'll just use the pieces I've got and use those PDF's! Razz

I see light bley cheese slopes! Finally an easier way to get those than as "alternate" in the new A-wing!

A-wing didn't have l.bley cheese slopes.
And why did they use black ones here as opposed to trans black/gray?

I've never heard of these before! They look great but don't we already have other versions of each? Are these going to be for sale/promo? It does excite me to know that Lego is still thinking about minisets. They could be planning to expand on their previous lineup.

The last thing we heard about this was when sam89 posted in response to another thread announcing that new minis were on the way. However at that time there were no pics, only the instructions themselves. I'd link to the thread but I have no idea what it was about anymore. Just to clear up a little confusion.
Wink

So this is news to me and I definitely want to add a few to my collection of minis.

nice ... I like the Snowspeeder especially.

We're still none the wiser if these sets will be promotional only or for purchase though, are we ?!

I built a snowspeeder from the instructions, and it's very nice! 63 pieces, I wonder what the price tag will be. It's a bit bulky bottomwise, but swooshes great! Might be in scale to the new AT-AT?

I also tried the TIE, but didn't have the right pieces (just couldn't stand to build one with red wings...).

That and they were also posted once or twice in the Ask LEGO section somewhere.

Also the mini pics weren't the reason why that thread got deleted. It got delete, because some posted pics of some summer 08 sets in the same thread.

Regardless. No mini-modding, these fit quite nicely as their own thread.

Now, one thing, while these are official LEGO pictures, there's no information to call them "sets" yet. We've seen slicks like this before, and sometimes, they're just alternate pages. Until we see it out there, who knows.

As dWhisper pointed out, they might not be real 'sets'. Maybe they'll end up like 'mini wookiee attack'.

Personally it woudn't bother me if they are real or not.
They aren't that great. The Snowspeeder is alright, and the Tie is abit below that. I'll buy them if they are easy to find in stores, and cheap. But I won't go out of my way to get my hands on one.

ideally they'd be like the mini JSF and mini ARC-170 ... i.e. free with any purchase over a certain modest value.

The new Tie looks amazing. The snowspeeder though, well, I really just preferred the old one. I guess I just like the grey snowspeeder Lego sets. (I didn't like the 2004 snowspeeder set.) I have to pick up a lot of those Tie Fighters though. Thanks for posting pics.

Does anybody think it might be cool if Lego released some new Star Wars minis packaged like the new mini Creators and Racers sets? I really like the boxes that are included with them. They are great for storage/travel and are plastic so they're more durable. Plus, I won't just throw out the box so it helps the environment too. Smile

There's some speculation that these will be the Brickmaster SW sets. If so, I'm sorry I signed up.
