Hey its me again,

Well, I took one look at this ship and knew i wanted to build it. It took about six hours to make, all this morning. The fighter bay isnt quite done yet, but I would really like to put some micro models in there for a more realilstic look to it. Well here it is, new versions will be up soon.

Well to start off, this needs more detail, besides the turret it's almost completely gray. Also the mid section seems to flimsy to me, add some more bricks. This moc has a good foundation, so keep working on it.

Actually its quite solid, the whole thing is 3 to 4 plates thick all over and its not gonna break easy

Well I guess what I meant is add some guts or beef it up. It just seems a little wierd to leave a huge gap like that in a ship that size.

Well thats what the ship looks like, its a really cool design and I havent seen a bigger reperasentation of it so I thought I would give it a whack.

Now you need to make the Dominant to blow it to pieces Wink

Indeed that is how it looks! Excellent work, Emperor. I don't recall ever seeing a good UCS scale Flurry anywhere.

That's correct! And you made one nice looking, Emperor. Some days ago you made me do my first MOC in minifig scale (an AT-PT) and now i want one of these for my ISD-scale fleet. I think i may steel some details and scale them down Wink

Good work!

You appear to have missed out the engines? The bottom of the rear should have a row of them...

Good work so far!

Large scale capital ships are always a joy to see and your WIP is no exception. It certainly is on its way of becoming a great model, but there are still some things to do. The engines have already been mentioned and I'm also looking forward to the populated fighter bay you spoke about. Some more details will really make this an awesome model. Keep up the good work!

Moppe,
thanks for the comments!

Cei,
Well one of the key words in my model is Work In Progress, dont worry they will come.

Warhawk,
Thanks man, I am not sure how many and to what detail but I have begun making a few micro ships for it, I also am making a micro millenium falcom to hang from the middle, it coming along nice.

I will post pics as soon as the modifications are done.

I've never heard of that ship, but if you get some micro fighters on it, it'll look pretty sweet.

I think you have made a great start with the Flurry, from the top especially the texture and shape look great and having some mini ships around it should bring it to life.
I think you are on to something with the X-wing but change the colours to better match the real deal. I'm not sure about the clips on the wings whcih represent the guns, how does it look without them? Sometimes with minis less is more.

Yeah i was a little iffy on it as well, the wings do look pretty chunky with them on Confused , i also moved the 2x1 plate to the bottom of the fuselage and on top added a 1x1 trans white plate.

My favorite expanded universe capital ship! Thank you for the great work so far in making it.

My most major suggestion would be to add some non-plate pieces to the middle spine on the bottom. Some pneumatic tubing lengthwise, perhaps. This would contrast with the armored look of the plates.

Another suggestion would be to use a different color and texture inside the hanger. I was thinking white tiles. This would contrast well with the studded exterior.

Finally, make more creative forward lasers. I was thinking a bit more tapered.

You've got a great start here with the overall shape and color. The simplicity will definitely make subsequent detailing stand out well.

Updated pictures will be up tonight so hold on to your butts!

I did do work on the forward laser cannons, but not the turbolasers(the ones on the bottom). I also realised, "hey, theres no turret on the top!" and proceeded to greeble about 30% of the tops surface with little widgets and watnot to compensate.

I also added the engines sunday night, I used 4x4 round bricks(y-wing engines mostly) and connected them with pins and used some technic pieces to connect them to the rear. So in other words you will wish this ship was never blown to pieces over Bakura!

Yes, the ship was destroyed by a Carrack cruiser, called the Dominant, fired after they defeated the Ssi-Ruuvi the first time.

Done, finished it a while ago but forgot to post pics. I didnt get to finish the micro fleet for it, because I had to scrap the old girl, she was taking up way too much room.
Anyway, on with the MOC, I know the lighting isn't the best so bear with me.
3/4 View.
Finished engines.
The one micro ship I built(x-wing).
Overview with some more greebles added
I really enjoyed the building of this ship, very simple, and very fun. The whole strength of the middle thing was a bit difficult, I ran out of wings very fast. But the rear was the biggest pain, the back was a nightmare because I had to use these to make the slope on the bottom. I had a friend over when I built her who is also a FOL, and he had never seen a worse designed ship Laughing , but anyway I hope you like it.

Nice! I love to see UCS capital ships (mainly because I can't build one for crap Mad ). You captured the look very well. Would love to see some X-wings in the hanger.

Glad you finished! Next job: the hanger Smile
I vote white. Copious amounts of white. And some launch rack things. And lighting! If you could get the interior lit, you would be a golden god.

Well, I am sorry to say but the majority of the Flurry has been dismatled, It wasted way too many plates for me to continue working on other projects... But I am glad you liked it!

Well this is a nice little ship ya got yourself! I like how close the design seems to be to the artword. Too bad there couldn't've been more mini fighters to go along, because that would be really neat to see a whole bunch of them in there... Anyway, nice job. Keep up the good work!
