I made my pirate crew of the ARC-Interceptor.

From left to right: Chuck (Co-pilot), Cody (Pilot and Pirate Leader) and Phil (Back Gunner)

Now I have a reason to complain if you use the same helmets Razz

Absolutely love this idea. I've already begun working on one of the two ships I plan to make.

Sounds like fun to me, but I am kind of new to this site and I dont know how to enter this contest. Right now there are alot of fresh ideas rushing through my mind that would make a great ugly.

Sounds fun, I think I'll have a shot at it.
Also would the general grievous fighter count?

No. Unfortunantly the rules of the contest state specificly that no parts or body design of bellebub-22's are to be used! Confused

Just Kidding! It's all or every combination of any ship. Wink

Hey all, here is a small (and very crappy) example of what you can build. The best things sometimes dont even have to be more than two of your sets put together without any modifications....

here it is Y-Interceptor

its really just that simple!

also, i am ammending my rules to say that no more than four ships can be used.

Elite wrote:

One question: can you have that many ships..?

sorry i just limited it to four ships....

One more thing, if you are using more than two ships, please make each ship recognizeable and prevalent.

OK right, I'll leave out the TIE fighter then. I actually hadn't built anything yet, just more ideas. Anyway, I know what I'm going to build, and I hope it'll look good.

I came up with a good idea but I fear that it might end up looking too close to the Eta-2 interceptor. I guess I'll find out.

Okay, I've decided on mashing the Episode 3 Jedi Starfighter, Episode 3 Vulture Droid and probably the Droid Tri-fighter into a nice little combo. Combination reserved! Haven't physically begun building yet, but will start right away. Hopefully it looks okay.

But the ship must be a fighter! You can only choose from the list Emperor gave.

I do. I like how the glasses it's balanced one look like heat waves. Smile

I made a ARC-170, Jedi Starfighter (AOTC), Jedi Starfighter (ROTS), V-Wing and Naboo Starfighter combo and aside from having too many ships, it looked atrotious.

I have, however finished a much better, OT themed ship. Placing it next to my prvious attempt I am amazed I got something so good done. I'll post pics of both ships up tommorrow.

And Emperor, you have shown us once more how beauty is in simplicity. Smile

Emperor, can we use extra bricks to reinforce the structure? That are not in the sets you use? Because Jedd does this and I didn't read anything about it.

Just curious, because it can help me too.

I'm pretty sure the point is not to limit yourself to official sets. In fact, I personally think they'd look better if they were more unique.

Emperor, I've got a question - how is the judging being one on this contest? Is it just you, or a selection of members. If you were planning on judging it yourself, I'd like to suggest getting a group of judges together.

Could I also ask what the criteria for winning re gonna be. I ask only because so far, pretty much everyone is cobbling a couple of official star wars sets together. That's nice, but surely it would enhance the competition if there was a bit more creativity and originality?

My tuppence...

well, i havent gotten around to it yet, but i will be putting together a set of judges to judge the contest entries, and if that fails, i can always ask an admin to start a poll for public voting.

well commanderjake, that is pretty much the point of this contest, but it is up to the entrant if they want to add some 'spice up' pieces. I have already even shown examples of an entry of being just that, a few sets jumbled together.

I think while bringing two sets together may look simple, it takes a lot of work. If you want ships to look the same on the outside, but fit togther you have to fiddle a lot with the insides.

I'm totally addicted to making Uglies now - I've made three models (excluding the abomination mentioned from above). The only problem now is to choose which one to enter. Confused

If I enter, mine will most likely be a mix of a V-Wing and a TIE Interceptor, unless I can't do that seeing as Annie beat me to it.
