Well, I have to say, it was a pretty good game, no matter who won, as long as you look at it from the viewpoint that no one got steamrolled by the other team; and it could easily had gone either way, even towards the end. I was rooting for the Pats, but I have to say, after that one amazing play where Eli got rushed by more or less the entire patriots defensive line, broke free and then whipped a pass to that reciever who caught the ball on his helmet, the Giants pretty much deserved to win.

Little side note, my friends and I had a good laugh when the Giants were walking through the tunnels out onto the fields, because one of my friends spied No. 18 going to town scratching a place that shouldn't be scratched on public T.V.

I'm a sore loser for wanting someone to stop hating? Its everywhere. News, email, forums, message boards.

Now that the Patriots lost, and the Giants won the Super Bowl, and that season is over with completely, people still are acting as though they completed the perfect season.

I found the Planters Peanuts commercial rather disturbing... I heard that cocky shirt companies already started making Pats T-Shirts that said, "19 and 0"! That could be misinformation, but I doubt it... Rolling Eyes

Actually, it's not a matter of cocky, it's just how their business goes. Manufacturers make shirts/hats/commemorative stuff for both teams, so it's available for sale immediately. You can see some of the "loser" stuff pop up, but it's usually just recycled/destroyed. It's simply part of their business.

Actually, it was an ongoing skit that featured Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan. They would occasionally have the guest appear in the sketch, if it was appropriate. Jim Carrey was one of those guests (he really did fit in).

They actually made a movie based off it, as well (I don't think it was all that good).

Top ten Superbowl ads... I liked all of 'em except the "follow your heart" one.

I forgot about the baby e-trade ads.
That one really should've made it to the top ten, instead of the "folow your heart" ad.

What? That made the top ten? I really didn't like that one. The e-trade ads were much funnier.

I kind of liked that ad, thought it was a fun little play on words. My guess, though, is that this ad appeals more to adults sitting at some dead-end job (or at one point were) than it does to kids who have no idea what its like to work day in and day out for "the man."

I know what it's like to "work day in and day out"... not for "the man" but close enough, and I still don't find it very funny. Neutral

I thought the commercials were all right, but..
I am glad the Giants won because it upheld the 1973 Dolphins record.
Which was a huge relef after another huge sports accomplishment was broken when Barry Bonds beat the homerun record Mad

Oh and please don't let this post result in a Barry Bonds spamanza fest Wink

Well I just got back from the Ravens game. They won 17-10 against the Bengals. Hooray. And I met Debbie Phelps in the elevator.

BTW, sky box rox.

(P.S.: Any Cincinati fans, sorry about your QB. That was unnecessary.)

Saints! We are back this year! That was a heckofa game and Reggie Bush showed us he could play awesomely again. Way to beat a NFC South division rival! On that note, the Panthers look really good this year, gotta be scared.

Wake me when the Rams win a game.

Scratch that. Wake me when the Rams actually look GOOD enough to win a game. At least I'll have a chance at waking up.

On the college front, GO MIZZOU! Finally, my alma mater has a decent football team. I've been waiting for a top 10 program for decades. I have to say, I like it. Though watching them lose is much harder when you know they're good.

Without Brady, I don't know what the Patriots are going to do. I guess we'll just have to put our faith in Matt Cassel.

So I was sitting here witing for Mizzou to finally stop the 'Huskers. I looked up and suddenly we're up 31 - 7. Things are looking pretty good for No 4.

And then I see that the Cubs are down 2 - 0 already. Things are looking REALLY good. Ol' Walt's is in a good mood tonight.

Now if the Rams could just win one... Crying or Very sad
