Here's another collaborative effort amongst FBTB members to build MOCs based on the common theme titled "Battlefronts".

Description:
Create your favorite SW battles and scenes using those armies that you've been building up. This will be in minifig scale and there will be three sizes available to build your creations.
1) Small - 32 x 32 studs baseplate
2) Medium - 48 x 48 studs baseplate
3) Large - anything over the 48 x 48 studs baseplate

It's not enough to dump your armies on a plain baseplate and then call it a battle scene. The more details, the better and the three different sizes will accomodate everybody's brick supplies.

If you want to join in this effort, post in this thread and start building. Also don't ask about any other rules or guidelines as there are none besides those already sttated above.

End Date:
Build Time is now till the end date of September 30, 2007.

Examples:
1) Small

2) Medium

3) Large

So as long as I don't do any work during term time, I can so totally do this Very Happy

Great idea AC, I gots a great idea - and just do bring it up in semi relevance and as some sort of shameless plug , all I really need to do, is make a biiger and more awesome version of one of these, except with more troops, more detail, and a crashed starfighter with a Jedi clambering out trying not to get dead.

No one steal my idea Smile

This would be cool. I've been setting up a battle scene for the past couple months, all I need to complete it is the MTT. Count me in!

sounds cool. I have a question though, what if we use two bases that are 32x32 beside each other?

I think so. Wouldn't that just make it a large?

I'll enter, I already have a battle scene half way built, so I could finish it for this. But Unless I am alout to us two 32x32 bases, I'll probbaly just modify it onto one base.

so actuall, when I add a 1x1 plate over the 48x48 baseplate, I could enter the large part.

Count me in on the Medium please.

But two 32X32 would make a large battle.

no, if they are both 32x32, then added together they would equal: 64x64.

my 2 credits.

for a 64x64 you need 4 32x32 plates, right? Not 2. That makes a 64x32.

Stefan pwns Veers at math. I doubt I'll be entering, I have 2 clone troopers ..and an ewok ...so no. So I must ask, can we build a space battle scene? so for those of us who don't have enough minifigs to create a convincing land battle scene, we could build a dynamic dogfight scene. Maybe even build some scenery on a baseplate underneath the main scene.

And just to mention:

48x48 is 2304 studs
32x64 is 2040 studs - so I think should count as small (just my opinion)

I just threw this tigether, because I'm wondering how my raw MOCing is in about an hour. Umm okay, we here have Rhen Var. The Battle of Rhen Var. This is my first group project/contest so I wanted to have fun with it. And that being said. There are three 'easter eggs' in this creation. Who ever spots these three first gets......
A pat on the back and congratulations from me. Razz

Actually I made the door myself. And If it was an easter egg I wouldn't show it upclose.

When it gets to 24 hours I will put up the easter eggs

Heres mine i've just started working on it so its not very good at the minute. Also its the first moc i've posted here. As I said it needs work but I cant find any good pictures to work of. Anyway here it is. It is classed as small and it is the cantina. And the pictures arent good as I took them on a crappy picture phone.

Here is the gallery:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=271177

Here are deeplinks:

If you didnt guess what it is. It is the Cantina from battlefront 2

P.S. Should I gives it it's own thread cause im not sure?
