Ratings (on a scale of 1 to 10):

Parts: 2/10
Just a big, stupid looking nose which connects to a big, poorly molded 'face'. Poor workmanship all around.
Minifigs: 0/10
Not even on mini-fig was included. Lame.
Detail: 10/10
Every little detail, including the nose hair, has been included.
Playability: 5/10
Good for poking, bad for looking at.
Price to parts: 0/10
I don't pay for it; matter of fact, I have to see it even when I don't want to.
Availability: 10/10
See above.
OVERALL RATING: 4/10
This face could really use some serious work.

I'm more of a collector than a builder. How much do you think Collins face is really worth, MISB?

(and no, I'm not paying Bricklink prices for it!!)

$3.50 is high, considering consumer parties are buying all available sets to create a fake demand for them. Collin, I'm looking at you.

If you could get a good $1, $2 set, you should be good.

Thanks for the great review.

I'm definitely gonna wait on this one. I'll probably get it on clearance though, just like I did with Collin's butt set. 5000 pieces for $20, that was a great deal! Razz

Will it be available internationally, or is it an US-only set?

This looks like one of those sets that I could afford to miss. Although it would go nicely with the "Collin's pancreas" set...

I was very dissapointed with the swooshability. It seemed to come attached to this big torso-like thing with arms and legs. This tethered it down way too much.

Yeah, I'll pass. Doesn't have much playability. But I might get one on clearance. Is anyone else excited about the new Collins Foot set? Oh god I can't wait! Razz

Apparantly those are really rare. There are only 500 hundred made, and they come with a certificate of authenticity.

Hmmm. I'll pass this one up. It'd probably fight with the "Austins Face" set I bought.

That's cause it's not Austin's face... This is it.

Great review, Austin Bomb... As I said in the other thread, this has pretty much solidified my decision. Thanks! Smile

You're thinking of the re-release of Austin's face. I got the original. Smile

I think someone stole the chrome-gold cello from my set. The tape seals had been broken earlier Sad

Don't worry, these babies are going to clearance fast.

And yeah, UCS Collin's butt was awesome. The realistic skid marks were a great cheap way to stock up on old brown. Razz

Shocked

Embarassed

Ratings (on a scale of 1 to 10):

Parts: 4/10
With a little modification, this tan/brown parts pack made a nice shed behind my City Market.
Minifigs: 0/10
I too was really disappointed that there was no Austin minifig pulling the levers inside like the SpongeBob set.
Detail: 3/10
I was shocked that EVERY little detail, including the nose hair, has been included.
Playability: 5/10
The "Wh-BAMMM!" feature was pretty weak. It had as much effect as the B-wing's torpedoes.
Price to parts: 10/10
For free, I highly recommend it. Still, $10 for 200 pieces isn't bad even if they are mostly basic bricks.
Availability: 0/10
I still can't find it at Target or TRU.
OVERALL RATING: 4/10
Austin said it best: This face could really use some serious work.

Uhhh , ok, I hate to be a party pooper but apparently set 1234 is NOT Collin's face set, but the Gear Wheel Asortment from 1984. Austin, could you please verify this.

Actually, it is Peeron's fault - those are exactly the same pieces in Collins Face, just with a different name.
