Hey y'all.
I recently completed a song in the song creator on GH:WT for Wii. The song is meant to be played on bass guitar, though it does include a lead section and a drum part. This song is a bit difficult in parts, and really easy in some. There is no main chorus, it's kind of like YYZ by Rush: random parts compiled into one song. I'm not gonna lie, I'm proud of it, though it's not that good. It makes musical sense, but some parts are cut off and such. If anyone would like to play it, and p'm me, or write in this thread, to critique me, I would be real happy.
So, all you Wii GH:WT owners, the song is called Riff Off None (oh, I'll accept song title suggestions, also), and it's by the artist "Bo iz Jiglin'".

*shifty eyes* Am I like the only survivor left?
oh well.
Gamespot had a pretty nice preview of GH: Metallica (Link). Seems to be quite the upgrade from Aerosmith, in terms of single-band. The Dual Base-Pedal sounds epic, but what's really got me excited is the news of a Queen song being in it (FYI, Queen is my favorite band of all time... evar.). Good luck getting those vocals right . _________________ I has a flickr!

1) Queen Rocks
2) What Song? EDIT-Nevermind, the article said unnamed.
Also, I like the approach to the story of this game more tha GH: Aerosmith, and the double kick pedals sound INTENSE. _________________ zombie.Brickzhelf (Update Coming [Not]Soon) |

Metallica themselves confirmed the whole setlist for the game last week, with the Queen song listed as 'Stone Cold Crazy'.

Meh, not really impressed by the setlist. I guess SCC is more metally than most Queen, though they could've picked a MUCH better song with just as good guitar. _________________ I has a flickr!

Breaking videogame news: a new trailer for the very awesome Batman: Arkham Asylum has been released. Have a good look here. A lot of Batman games have been very, very poorly-made, but this one looks killer. The backgrounds look stunningly unsettling, the character design is quite good and the best part is the return of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill to voice Batman and the Joker respectively. Awesome, awesome stuff! _________________ Ironic, huh.

No, I have it as well. I also have Guitar Hero 3. Personally, I prefer GH3, as it actually provides a good challenge, and doesn't force you to play the same songs over and over again in the Tour Mode. Also, Rock Band 2? More like Pop Band 2. You call that rock music? Meh. Guitar Hero's songs rock much harder. I mean, there are some decent songs, but overall, I think Guitar Hero's a much better experience. _________________ With common principles to the next level - Brrraaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnss........ |

Looks pretty sweet. I'll definatly pick that one up.
Anyways, so I played the Resident Evil 5 demo last night. Sooooo good. If your a fan of Resident Evil 4, then you will feel right at home with this one. (Unless your converting from a PS2 to a 360, like I am, then the controls will take abit of getting used to.)
It had all the gore, creepy zombies and mutant monster things, and erie environments that you can expect from a RE game. (And of course..includes a guy with a bag over his head weilding a chainsaw...) _________________

Mark Hamill FTW! I always loved that animated series!
And this game DOES look killer...
Sorta like a combination of Saw and Splinter Cell, but with Batman as the template.
Fun. _________________ ><>

I also have Guitar Hero 3 and World Tour, but after playing all these rhythm games a lot I prefer the Rock Band series. Don't get me wrong, I still like Guitar Hero for its music studio mode and the exclusive artists like Jimi Hendrix and Van Halen, but I think Rock Band is better. Rock Band has better sound quality (for the Wii at least which btw is essential in these kind of games) and better soundtrack because of the wide range of music. There is a lot music I like in Rock Band than in Guitar Hero, but that's just me. So I say give Rock Band 2 a runthrough. The DlC store has been up for 2 weeks now and will continue to grow until it's the same as the 360 and PS3 versions.
