In this thread we talk about our favorite pixar films, what we like about them, and if we should see the new film Ratatouille. Well there's something else I want to say. You know when they first release information about a new pixar film by showing a teaser of the film that contains no footage of the movie. Well for the last 4 films or so I've seen those teasers and thought "That movie doesn't look that great. I don't think I'll see it." Well by the time the real trailer gets out the film grows on me and I get hyped up on seeing the movie. When I see it I love it. I really have enjoyed each pixar film that I've seen so far. I've seen all of them by the way, except Ratatouille. Ratatouille was different. When I saw the teaser for Ratatouille I thought the usual thing. Then when I saw the trailer I still didn't want to see it. Now that It's out in theaters I've read a few great reviews and I still haven't been convinced why I should see it. So maybe someone here is going to have to convince me why I should see it.
You guys know how John Ratzenberger is in every Pixar film. Well I can't for the life of me remember who he did the voice for in Finding Nemo. BTW, could someone tell me who he does the voice for in Ratatouille also. I really would like to know.
Oh I almost forgot. My favorite Pixar films are Toy Story, The Incredibles, and Cars.

I believe he voiced Nemo’s teacher. He’s a blue stingray.
Oh, my favorite Pixar movies are probably Toy Story 2 and Cars. The Incredibles is also a neat movie. _________________

All of them are my favorites except Cars. Didn't care for that one.
I believe John Ratzenberger was the school of fish in Finding Nemo. _________________ "Autumn is the seasons' death

Yeah, I do the same thing woth every Pixar movie... it doen't look particularly intresting until I actually see it... the it's one of my favorie movies.
Also as you, I don't really have much enthusiasim about Ratatoullie... Even though I know I'll like it when I see it.
When I was 4 or 5 years old, I would gather up all my Toy Story toys and then watch Toy Story with them almost every day... I had almost memorized the whole mvie back then. ::D:
My current favorites right now are Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Cars. _________________ Signature:error

No, he did the school of fish that were giving Marlin and Dory directions. (I just saw that I was a little late on that)
Anyway, I just got back from seeing Ratatouille and Evan Almighty, Ratatouille was a great movie. It was funny. Maybe not like other Pixar movies, but it was a good movie none the less. _________________ It's time for FBTBForums.net to "Get off my plane". |

Maybe he voiced both characters? I remember Nemo’s teacher sounding exactly like Ratzenberger.
Oh well. Haven't seen that movie for months, but just posted out of what I remember. _________________

The teacher sounded more likea pirate to me... Anyway, Bob Peterson did the voice of Mr. Ray.

I just watched The Incredibles! Funny how that was....
I'm probably going to see Ratatouille eventually, just not sure when. _________________

Ah, ok. All the confusion is cleared now. Though what else should I have expected after not seeing a movie in such a long time.
Thanks. _________________

Pixar is amazing, each movie manages to not only reach expectations but surpass the previous movie. On top of that, they are owned by Disney, which is not known (at least by me) to do anything creative anymore.
Every time I see a Pixar movie, it is an enjoyable experience. _________________

I think it's great that Disney finally bucked up and bought Pixar... definitely will be worth the investment...
Just saw Ratatouille... VERY good movie. I liked it a lot. The animation is top notch, great story, and some very funny moments. Worth seeing on the big screen.
One of the things that I feel are very underrated are the Pixar short films. Those are typically hysterical and the one that is attached to ratatouille is called "Lifted" and I laughed out loud during this one... my 4 year old laughed along with me... GREAT short film. and a mini spoiler to boot, the "wilhelm" scream sneaks into this one just like it did in Toy Story... _________________

Finding Nemo and The Incredibles will always stay with me. There is a magical combination of strong story and amazing graphics about the two that do not project the pretentious air which Dreamworks and Warner Brothers both do in their animated films. Shark Tale, anyone!? Anyhow, I love that some family value is injected into the films without making them overly sappy or cloying. That I enjoy. _________________ Ironic, huh.

Oh man, this brings back some memories... Toy Story was my favorite movie when I was just a wee lad. The Incredible, Toy Story, and Cars are my favorites (I love how in cars they have Ahnold as a Hummer, and that they have the rednecks as RVs ) _________________ I has a flickr!

It's annoying to see 'crude humor' in every animated film now, and I rarely see that in Pixar's films; it just goes to show that you can have a good movie without crude, vulgar, violent, sexual innuendos and things. _________________ "Autumn is the seasons' death

^amen to that, ras^. Closest thing I've seen is in Cars:

You guys forgot about something else.
"Flo, what do you have in your shop?"
"I have gas, lots of gas." Then you see Mater and Ramone laughing. |

I've seen every pixar movie besides ratatooiulle(sp?), and my favorites would have to be Toy Story 1 and 2, Monsters Inc, Incredibles, and Cars. I remember watching Toy Story as a little kid almost every day, and I thought it was a funny gag that buzz lost his arm in Toy Story and Woody lost his arm in Toy Story 2, and the "I am you're father" reference with Zurg and Buzz was funny as well. Brilliant movies, and clean of vomit humor like most animated movies today. |
