I guess there's a good chance we could see an Indiana Jones LEGO game sometime in late summer or fall of 2008.

With rumors of Lego Indiana Jones along with two other Lego games, we may be headed towards a future in which all licenses are done in Lego form.

I must admit, a Lego Short Round would be awesome.
There's a rumor rumbling round Kotaku that LucasArts is set to announce a few new titles this week at E3, one being another spinoff to the company's cash cow of late: Lego adaptations of movies. This one? Lucas' "other" blockbuster movie franchise, Indiana Jones.

Now, normally, a rumor like this would have me tickled pink, but I'm starting to think that LucasArts and developer Traveller's Tales have milked the concept so hard that the udders are starting to bleed. There's the recently-announced Lego Star Wars Complete Saga, which is not the droid (ie- Wii lightsaber title) we were looking for despite the glowing praise IGN has heaped upon it. Warner Brothers has also commissioned a Lego Batman game, which could stem the tide of bad Bat-games. We haven't seen much of it, but the two-player action could lend itself well to the dynamic duo of Batman and Robin. Also, since the game's not tie

Now comes a rumored Lego Indiana Jones iteration. The idea of using the Wii Remote as a whip may be appealing, but what else does the movie franchise have to lend to the Lego formula? There's no real substantial sidekicks that would make multiplayer believeable--sorry, but Short Round, Indy Sr., and that dude that got creamed at the beginning of Raiders don't quite cut it. We'll see what Lucas has on tap later this week, but barring a revolutionary new Lego engine, Indy could be the License of Doom.

I love Indiana Jones! Very Happy With lego coming out with the new "Indi" sets, I agree there's a good chance of a game like that. Lucasfilm is probably already in the stages of making the game while all of us are stuck wondering if it's even a possibility. Maybe or maybe not. Wink

A Lego Indy game would be great. I agree with Don that this would be a very smart move by Lucasarts.

Probrably the biggest new to come from the Lucasfilm presentation is that we can expect a Lego: Indiana Jones video game in the summer of 2008. Comic-Con fans in attendance were then treated to the first ever glimpse of the trailer for the game.

Trailer!? Shocked

TRAILER!

Doesn't cover the forthcoming movie, eh? That's a surprise. And the (sweet) trailer gives away nothing regarding what they're going to do about the Nazis in the Raiders & last Crusade levels.

I'm VERY excited about this game! Does anyone have a mirror link for the trailer? LucasArts is blocked at work. Lame.

If it's by Tt, I'm buying it. After Bionicle Heroes and LSW1 and 2, this game will probably be a huge success. Smile

Here's how an official Toht would look (if LEGO actually make it)

From this story about the forthcoming game.

Sorry, I didn't realize it's a character's name. I thought it was a forum abbreviation that I didn't yet know.

My badness....

New article (with first level playthrough description) here.

Quote:
The game’s hub area is Barnett College, the place where Dr. Jones teaches class. This area functions the way the “Attack Of The Clones” bar and the Mos Eisley cantina did in the two “LEGO Star Wars” games. The hub provides access to 18 levels, six for each of the first three Indy movies.

* I learned that even though the game’s puzzles will never be designed for more than two characters that, on the console versions, up to four players will be able to run through levels together.

* I was told that the Wii game will have motion-triggered bull-whipping. When I asked if it would function the same as the lightsaber-swinging did in the Wii version of “LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga or if it would offer 1:1 remote-to-whip synchronized control, the producers said to expect something akin to the “Star Wars” interface.

* The console versions of the “Indy” game are being made by the same team at Traveller’s Tales that did the “Star Wars” games; it’s a different team that’s doing “LEGO Batman.”

* I was told not to worry about reports that the Nazis have been removed form the LEGO version of the trilogy. The plot will stay intact; the bad guys just won’t wear swastikas.

* I was only shown the Xbox 360 version of the game, but PC, PS2, PS3, and Wii versions are al slated for June 3 2008. So are DS and PSP versions. I didn’t learn much about them except that the DS stylus will handle whipping and that the microphone will be used for blowing up rafts (in a “Temple of Doom” scene, I presume) and blowing out torches. Oh, and you’ll be able to control the “Raiders” monkey in the DS game.
