Looks like a new line for LEGO based on the upcoming Indy movie.

Yay! New minifig hats!

I'm actually really excited about this news. I wonder if they'll go retro and make sets from the original films too. Idea

If this turns out to be true, it will be awesome, no doubt.

It seems a little bit like the start of a rumor, but if this is true, I can't wait!

EDIT: Just wanted to say, it would make sense, with the connection from LEGO to George Lucas.

On the down side, I'd bet ten bucks that the contract could include an agreement for Lego to not have a competing theme. Say goodbye to revisiting Johnny Thunder, Adventurers.

Yay! Boo! Yay! Boo! Yay! Boo! That's pretty much how I feel. Yay for a new Indy line! Boo for no more Adventurers.

But still, This is going to be so sweet. If it is true!

No kidding, I would love to see blowdart encounter with an alfred molina (yes that alfred molina) pincusion minifig, or Jacque's plane with a whole bunch of snakes, golden Ark of the Covenant, with melting Toht, exploding Belloq, Marion and Indy with RPG...

or... Club Obi-wan encounter with giant silver gong, Willie Scott, Short Round, Diamond, Lao, Tuxedo Indy, poison and antidote...

Yep... loving this line...

Johnny Thunder's out of a job, b'day, mates!

But on the other hand YIPPEEE-KAI-YAY! alright! I've always wanted indiana Jones to appear somewhere in the Indy universe, so that's really cool!

I'm not sure I'm convinced...

Personally, I'd rather see a JT line. No flesh tones, no licensing premiums, more creativity.

Here's hoping he misspoke and meant an Indy-like line...

While I think I'd love to see an Indy line, Athos does have a point. A large number of my favourite heads have come from the JT line, and if Indy is made, it'll be all fleshies. Crying or Very sad On the other hand, licensed lines usually get more money to make new pieces, and I can imagine some new minifig accessories(coiled whip, anyone?) in an Indy line, which would rock.

If they do end up making an Indy line, it'll be ironic though, since the JT line is so clearly an Indy rip-off.

Oh no. Seriously, oh no. I won't be able to get support for buying, building and storing all these sets as well. SW - I only buy what I like. Indy - I would like everything and get it all.

Mmmm, tank from Last Crusade...
Mmmm, map room from Raiders...
Mmmm, plane vith yellow raft from Temple of Doom...

Yep, I would get them all.

Very Happy When I read the first post in the thread, I was like "Yeeeeeesssss! W00t! Yeahaw!". But then my brain started working, so I am completely with Steve (Athos) on this one. I think fleshies only work in 'slick' themes, like Star Wars and Batman, with all the futuristic weapons, sleek vehicles and, in Batman's case, 'urban' feel. They just don't work in castles or temples, or any kind of historical setting. I say LEGO would be better off with a new Adventurers line, because there are no limits on what sets they could make, or which characters to use. Plus, I've been hoping for a LSW-esque Adventurers game for ages. If it came down to it, I'd be content with an Indiana Jones line, but I think LEGO would have really missed out. Sad

Jinja..

The possiblities for this line are considerable. Perhaps we will have, at long last, some proper WWII helmets; most likely a German stahlhelm. This may also introduce more realistic WWII firearms in light of the recent SW weapons.

Now if only Lego would produce some Allied infantry units as well.... Wink

I'm not surprised that this would happen, seeing as how Lego has the contract with Lucas for Star Wars. I guess the contract includes any films by Lucasfilm

And let's not forget the possibility of a Lego Indiana Jones game...

Not to mention Lego Nazis...

By the way has Lego ever made flesh-tone Arabs before?

But the major antagonist in two of the films were nazi's. I doubt they're going to have the nazi symbols in sets, I wonder how they would get around it.

Probably just grey-uniformed soldiers. I doubt the Lego group would really do Nazi symbols.

No, no they couldn't do that. It's against Swedish law (as an example) to have a swastika displayed on your clothes. Just evil military guys in grey or black uniforms.

Aaaah, the little jeep that gets shot away by the tank in Last Crusade...
Aaaah, the Indy chasing truck on horse scene in Raiders...
Aaaah, the moving ceiling trap in Temple of Doom...

I'm getting them all!

he let it slip that they will be producing toys for Lucasfilm's upcoming Indiana Jones IV feature film.

I think that they're jumping to conclusions. First of all, this is hearsay, in a crowded environment, where background noise could have easily obfuscated what was said.

Secondly, just because they're producing toys for the movie, doesn't mean they'll be Indy sets. It's entirely possible that they'll release a new Adventurers line at the same time to capitalize on the hype.

If it is Indy, they'd better use the Han Solo head/grin...

But I'm happy, because then I'll have some more figs for my Indiana Jones Meets Star Wars vignette. Smile

I think people are jumping to conclusions here. Remember that it's rumored that they're making sets for the new movie. That says nothing about them producing sets from the trilogy.

Oh, they're not that bad. Smile I found one of those sets on a good clearance a while back, and kept the figs because they fit well in an alien landscape.

WOW! Assuming this is true, I'd like to brag a bit. Very Happy Where is that thread where I said that an Indy line really should be made? I think it was about a year ago. I was blasted by a lot of folks, with a handful of notable exceptions, because everyone said that they already had Johnny Thunder.

I like being right! Cool

Here's the old thread:

Isn't the new movie supposed to take place after WWII?

If not, I can't wait. Very Happy
