My vote could have gone to any of the four finalists, as all their models presented different characteristics that made them unique and interesting.

But I voted for Morgan19. The smooth and sleek look of his MOC just appealed to me. Don's little airspeeder gets the prize for the cutest finalist though Wink.

This vote is really close! I have suspicions because Don and Morgan's votes are constantly only one vote apart. There are going to be calls to recount the vote.

Would anyone be willing to count the hanging jumper plates?

Wow, this is really close. Too bad Darkkazmo doesn't have much a chance now though. Sad

Hey guys, thanks for the support, I really appreciate it immensely. I've really entered for fun, the same thing with the Voidfighter contest, and I believe that contributed to bring around more contestant to the table, and that was my initial idea, to bring back some creativity to these boards...
As for winning, what can you do when some people have "a lack of vision"? Razz... Nah, just kidding! Wink

Actually I was thinking to give away this MINT old B-Wing set to any other member that doesn’t have one if I had won, since I already have six of them in my collection! Looks like that won't happen this time around!

They're all so awesome.

This is one amazing set that can be turned into all these great things.

And these creations eclipse the stuff I see on the back of the Lego boxes.

Although that particular adjective can certainly be debated in this case, never let it be said that I don't know how to sell myself out in any barely-G-rated fashion.

Done. Wink

Hmmm, interesting and funny results!

Next time for future contests, I'd prefer seeing each voter claiming his or her vote in a specific thread or sent to a special e-mail, and then all votes will be counted manually since I doubt very much that 2000 + users will come and vote on any contest.

I second Joseph's suggestion. A recommendation from a distinguished builder with a critical eye for MOCs should not be easily dismissed.

Why should people have to say who they voted for? I dont see how that method would be any better then the pole system. Either way, they 2000+ memebers wont all vote. The only difference is that with the pole you dont have to manually count the votes, which makes it easier.

Just to assure the voting is legit, and not just mostly done by random new members!
And as I said, either this or we can have people e-mailing their results to a trusty source monitored by an admin or a moderator.

I just dont think that would be any different then this method. Someone can email a few different votes from a few different e-mail adresses. I see nothing wrong with new members voting, and I think that e-mail voting would be worse because it has a larger chance of being "corrupted" by person voting from several different e-mail adresses.

Huh? Why are there claims of illegal voting? The result for first mimicked the original poll. Anyways, just ask Ace or a Mod to check if you think there was jury-rigging.

So far no one has said anything, or accused anybody of anything, I'm saying it would be probably better in the future.
E-mailing has to be from a legit member with a legit e-mail address, probably PMing is even better.
It's only a suggestion...

Just one question, who is to say who is a legit member? Whos is to say what a legit e-mail address is? Voting by PM, would not be any different then the pole system, just more of a pain because you would have to count the votes instead of it being an automatic thing.

The only thing I see different about your method is the fact that it wouldnt be a public vote. The people that are losing and winning wouldnt know until the end. But other then that bit, your proposed method wouldnt be very great. And truthfully I like the fact that its public, it teaches some people humility, and gives a chance for others to have their 15 minutes of fame.

Understand that when deserving MOCs run low on votes and when certain timely voting patterns occur (PM me for specifics), it is natural to question the nature of the voters.

Kazmo is not the only one to see this, I believe he questions whether the voters are voting for a MOC or a builder, the latter action is biased and stubborn.

People are voting for what they want. Thats whats great about this. a "deserving MOC" is only in the eye of the beholder. Every person here is deserving of a vote. Just because a person thinks they deserved more votes, does not mean that they did. Heck, there were several creations that should be in the finals that arent, but you dont hear any of them complaining. Every person gets one vote, how they use that vote is up to them. If they want to vote for a builder, then that is there choice. I frankly dont see how chaning the way we vote will effect the out come or how people choose who they vote for. Also, why is Kazmo more deserving of votes? Myself personally dont think its that great of a creation. Yeah its creative, but I personally dont like the style of his building. To me, he didnt deserve my vote. So does that make me wrong? Hell no, it is my personal choice, and I dont like the fact that you are basically telling me I am wrong for not voting for the "deserving" MOC.

So just because a few people think that one person is more deserving of the vote, does not mean that every one thinks this. Thats the great thing about voting, everyone gets to voice thier opinion, and are not forced to conform to what others think.

Also, why is voting for a builder and not the MOC biased? If the person is the friend of the builder, and they vote for them, why is that so wrong? Its their vote and they can do with it what they want.

Well, I for one looked over each model, and having the new b-wing, tried to find the one that was BEST designed, with the use of pieces. I believe I have, and hense, my vote.

I do think though, that at least half who have voted didn't really take a look at the mocs, BECAUSE IF THEY DID, MORGAN WOULD HAVE 100% OF THE VOTES Wink

J/K

I mean, I came in 8th in the VF contest, out of a LOT of entires, what up with that? my moc waaaay sucked Wink . Seriously.
