So, what are those things escorting the Theta class shuttle in the opening of the full length ROTS trailer anyway? Anyone know/have pictures?

It's more of a cross between an A-wing and a TIE.
No offense, but I think it's one of the ugliest ships I have ever seen.

I heartily agree. What's with those fins covering the back? I saw the Cross-sections book today, and it really looks... weird. And it seems to be the main fighter for the republic... blech. I guess that means LEGO's version will be pretty fugly.

And they certainly sound like TIEs.

But didn't the EU already create a V-Wing airspeeder, as seen at the Battle of Calamari?

Yeah the V-wing already exists in the EU, but GL has stated over and over that EU will not have any voice in the movies.

How does that explain the Juggernaught? Evil or Very Mad

a few things...

what is MF.com? hat's not the real address... I don't know the non-abbreiviated form Sad

the new JSFs are supposed to be the precursors to the TIEs I thought... look at the cockpit windows. These shipss are probably from the same manifacturer too, so they'll blend.

It's still just a rumor that it's called the "V-Wing" until there's something on SW.com - right? I seem to remember production notes refering to an "H-Wing" fighter, which was the first thing I though of when I saw them on screen.

and M19 is right... it hasn't been called the Juggernaught yet now has it ? All official statements call it the turbo tank weather we like it or not. (unless I missed something?)

V-Wing is in the Incredible Cross-Sections, so it is official.

MF.com is millenniumfalcon.com (I urge you to be careful around the fourms. They swear a ****ing lot ). Wink

I really hope they dont call it the V-Wing. I find a lot of the new ships in RoTS to be really ugly or they just dont look like a SW kinda ship

I sense denial. Turbo tank just sounds lame to me, kinda like it should be a Rescue Heros vehicle.

Ahh... But that is its name. Hence the LEGO model called "Turbo Tank." Wink

Question

Is the pilot a Clone or a Jedi? Also I do not mind this fighter, but the wings look a little too fragile.

I don't think so. It's the EPIII Cross-Sections, so it's from the movie, so it counts. There's nothing EU about it.

doh! my bad... for some reason I was thinking of the older Essential Guide to Vehicles & Vessels that has the V-Wing from the rogue squadron games in it... if there's a ROTS cross-sections book with this labels as the V-wing, then yeah, that's pretty far from EU. Confused
