I was just over at classic-castle.com, and when I click on the link for their forums, all I see is a white screen with a couple of search boxes and this one line of text:

"Owned by xaeti of m00p. Greetz to Phr0stic, Wp, maxo, etc."

Hacked?

Ugh... First the old FBTB boards and now CC?? Of all the sites online that someone could hack, why in the world would they bother with LEGO sites? It's not like we're devoted to political agendas or conflicting human rights or anything else that someone might find debateable. Mad

*sigh*

Hey,

I have no idea what's up. I've contacted Troy to see if he knows. Just last night we passed the 50000 post mark, too. Crying or Very sad

So the question then becomes:

Which Lego board is next?

They've hit FBTB, Galactic Bricks, Eurobricks, and now CC.

It seems to me we've got Geek on Geek violence.

Yes, it appears that the forums were hacked. Fortunately, the hacker wasn't as thorough as he was here. The forums are still online, here:

http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/index.php

And this was just posted on the mainpage:

Quote:
The Classic-Castle.com forums have been hacked. The forums seem to still be intact with the default forum style, but we are unsure at the present how far the hack goes. We will post more when we know more.

Hey,

What Chris said. Don't panic. The boards are all still there, just at http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/index.php. Hopefully we'll get everything back to normal soon.

There have been a rash of about 40 or forums hacked recently. One of the ones I follow, www.ibdof.com was hacked, but only on the surface, and because the webmaster did a daily back-up, we were fine. Over at the IBDoF, many of the geekier members did net searches and tracked down the hacker.

I predict that someone on the inside is hacking right now into....
..another LEGO website. Can't tell which.

Oh wait.

CLASSIC-SPACE has not yet been hacked. They must be doing something right.

That's right we have no political agendas, other than my quest for total world domination that is. But no one could possibly find that debatible, my superiority to mere mortals is self-evident, FOR I AM ED!

Then again, maybe the Classic Space forums weren't missed afterall. Or maybe they're changing servers or something, like they'd talked about. Either way, they're not up currently.

Man, at least it could be over for the smaller lego websites. Now the hackers will have a harder time getting to the other 'larger' forums.

Spoke too soon, Classic-space is still there.
