So where do you like to buy discontinued lego? Ebay? Bricklink? The Black Market? Laughing

Bricklink would be my number one choice, never had a bad experience there.

I debated whether to move this to LEGO or B/S/T/F, and in the end settled on Lego.

I haven't yet bought any sets from BrickLink.

Amazon I think is my favourite.

Depends on if it's a set or parts. BL can't be beat for grabbing the parts you need, but eBay and forums are typically better for old sets.

Ah, discontinued sets. Me searching for an old Sith Infiltrator online is how I stumbled upon a site called FBTB back in 2005.

Anyways...
I go eBay for old sets. Like Don said, many members go to the forums to sell old or used sets BEFORE they post on eBay as a kind gesture. Sometimes, they'll even lower the price for their forum friends.

And, no doubt, Bricklink is superior for random purchase of parts.

For really rare sets, Brinklink (for a price of course). Ebay does not always have some sets. Amazon, I find, is too expensive on discontinued SW sets, also.

Most times Ebay.
Sometimes Bricklink. Or B/S/T/F

Honestly, my number one place is right here. I've gotten better deals on discontinued sets from fellow forum members than on either Bricklink or eBay. Smile

Personally, I like eBay. I haven't bought anything on BrickLink, but I have a lot of LEGO from eBay.

I like using Value Village. They a donation resale outlet. I check often and every once in a while I find something. Being in a small town, not too much selection.

But this way, I get to inspect the items myself before buying and I don't have to worry about shipping or duty.

Personally for me it has to be eBay, and thankfully I have had no bad experiences from buying LEGO sets. But have had them from buying other items, so it takes me awhile before I commit to buy. I have found a couple of good deals on eBay, and the only other place I have got discontinued sets is from friends and family.

i have done pretty well finding the few sets i've missed along the way, on ebay.

i will admit i skipped over the 10131 tie collection and have yet to pick it up -- to me, just too overpriced for one exclusive fighter.

anyone here have one you want to "friend sell"?

Very Happy
