Another thing I think Lego should bring back in 2010 is the under $10 set. They can easily make a small set for, say, an Imperial Speeder Bike w/ Scout Trooper, or STAP w/ Battle Droid. Those two sets probably wouldnt even be 50 pieces, and will easily sell for $5 or $6. Here's some under $10 new and remake possibilities:

Escape Pod w/ C-3PO and R2-D2 (redo)
Swoop Bike w/ Anakin Skywalker (redo)
Geonosian Speeder Bike w/ Count Dooku (redo)
Destroyer Droid
Octuptarra Droid
Crab Droid
Bacta Tank w/ Luke, 2-1B, and FX-7
Ewok Glider w/ Wicket (redo)
BARC Speeder w/ Stass Allie
Chameleon Droid w/ Yoda
Antivehicle Artillery Gun w/ Hoth Rebel Trooper (redo)
Imperial Probe Droid w/ Han and Chewie (redo)
Escape Pod w/ General Grievous
Mole Miner w/ Spacetrooper
Dwarf Spider Droid (redo)
S-Swoop w/ Dash Rendar

One thing that I'd really like to see in LEGO is Lando's Lady Luck ( I don't think anyone's mentioned that one yet).

It was mentoined in the EU thread, aka the place where everyone, myself included, professes their desire to get a Lego Ebon Hawk. Laughing

But yea, I'd like to see it. I don't know what minifigs would be included though, it might be a good set to include the Solo kids.

i would like to see a few sets, mainly-

1. snowtrooper battle pack, 4 snowtroopers, 2 speeder bikes, and a speeder, (legos gives us random vehicles with the battle packs).

2. any grey versions of the tie fighters

3. any minifig pack, like a jedi one with Mace Windu, Plo Koon, and Kit Fisto
a sith one with Palpitine, Count Dooku, and Anikan Skywalker, also a rebel one with Han, Leia, Chewie, R2, 3PO, and Luke.

4. a redo of the Mos Eisly Cantina, this time make it bigger, with the bartender dude (cant remember his name) Han, Greedo, generic alians, Luke, Ben, and a redone landspeeder, also include some Womp-Rats.

What's the difference between the speeder and speeder bikes you're talking about?

Yay, the annual thread of awesomeness. Here's what I'd love to see:

Minifigs

Queen Amidala

Padme

Chancellor Palpatine

Tusken Raiders

Admiral Ackbar

Mon Mothma

Sio Bibble

Captain Typho

Nute Gunray

Boss Nass

Aayla Secura

Ki-Adi Mundi

Ep II Threepio

More EU sets, definitely. Not overboard, just those that are mainstream-enough.

Outrider with Dash Rendar

Chiss Clawcraft

Coralskipper with Yuuzhan Vong soldiers

Lady Luck with Lando and gang

Imperial Transport (as seen in Splinter of the Mind's Eye)

Chu'unthor (from the Courtship of Princess Leia)

Nova Class Battle Cruiser

Jabitha

And the absolute-must, Prince Xizor's Virago (yeah man!!!!)

The following sets would be similarly-scaled to the Republic Cruiser or playest ISD:

Wild Karrde

Executor

Mon Calamari Cruiser

Rebel Medium Transport (the kind that escapes from Hoth)

A UCS Lucrehulk capital ship

From the movies:

Tan AAT

Corellian Star Shuttle

Tusken Raider village (we need more Tuskens!)

Neimodian Shuttle

Lars Homestead

Palpatine's arrest

Hoth Outpost (with turret, trench and a taun taun or two)

Coruscant fire speeder

Droid Factory playset (a portion of the conveyor belt with a functioning metal stamper)

Remodelled Jabba's Palace

Remodelled Mos Eisley Cantina

One of Padme's Coruscant Cruisers (would be nice if it was in chrome, but it doesn't matter if that doesn't happen)

Neimodian Shuttle

And not forgetting some smaller vehicles which would make excellent $10 or $20 sets:

Bail Organa's speeder with Yoda

Coruscant taxi

Gian Speeder

Tatooine rickshaw with Anakin and Padme

Yoda's escape pod

Aurra Sing and Flare S Swoop

And that's about all I can think of for now, which is plenty.

Well you know what a speeder bike is? Just take away the bike bit.

I think he means the snowspeeder.

Either that, or a simple landspeeder such as the one Luke uses in A New Hope.

Here's what I would like to see
(obviously all of these won't be made in one year)

Battle Packs (I'm assuming these will all include random small vehicles and/or fortifications)
Death Star-2 Death Star Troopers, 1 Death Star Gunner, 1 Stormtrooper
Alternative-Replace Death Star Gunner with another Death Star Trooper and possibly replace the Stormtrooper with a Black outfit Imperial Officer or an Imperial Technician (with scanning device)

Endor-3 Endor Rebel Commandos and 1 Commander
Alternative-Possibly replace 1 Commando or the Commander with an Ewok

Imperial Drivers-1 AT-AT Driver, 1 AT-ST Driver, 1 Speeder Bike Scout, and 1 Tie Figher Pilot

I'm drawing a blank on specialised Rebel drivers to act as a counter without lots of repetition

CIS-3 Super Battle Droids with blaster arms, 2 Destroyer Droids (like the one in the MTT). Part count permitting, a regular Battle Droid with some color (pilot, officer, etc)

Republic-4 Clones (there's a suprise). Preferrably Episode III style. All specialised units. Some mix of 501st, the green higlighted clones (not sure what their unit is) and possibly the Clone Scout Troopers. My preferrence is 2 501st, 1 Green, 1 Scout.

Here are the not going to happen in a million years battle packs:
KotoR-Sith-3 Sith Troopers, 1 Generic Sith Lord (or a Sith Trooper Commander)
Old Republic-3 Old Republic Troopers, 1 Generic Jedi (or Republic Commander)
Fringe-Pirates-A mix of Rodian and Weequay pirates
Fringe-Droids-2 R2 style droids, 1 C3PO style droid, and 1 Battle Droid body type droid (or maybe a Gonk Droid)

As for regular sets, I would like to see:
The Ebon Hawk-Just load as many KotoR I and/or II figures as possible into it
Any set that can include a Revan and a Malak figure. Likewise a set featuring Sion and Nihilus (and probably Treya)

Crab Droid-the larger ones seen on Utapau. Throw in some droids and/or clones. Maybe Episode III Commander Cody

Wampa Attack-Wampa, Luke, Taun-Taun, cave setup

Carbon Freezing Chamber-Han (and block Han), Leia, Vader, Boba Fett, Chewie (with some kind of representation of 3PO on his back if possible), Lando, Stormtrooper or 2, and Ugnaughts. Maybe include Luke so he can fight Vader. Basically just the freezing chamber and the large round walkway around it. If Luke is included, have some of the freezing chamber components easy to detach or explode.

Executer Command Bridge-The main bridge with viewports, consoles in the pits, and walkways. Vader, Admiral Piett, Offciers, Naval Troopers, possibly some of the bounty hunters like Bossk. Possibly have an attached chamber for Vader or the Holographic projection room. Or remove Vader and instead include an A Wing that can ram the bridge.

A new Cantina-Cram as many aliens as possible into this. Hopefully at least some of the Bith band. Han and Greedo. Some booths and the bar. Hopefully the bartender (Wuher I think) Dr Evazan and Ponda Boba would be great.

As a follow on to the Cantina, A Ronto- The giant creature with a few Jawas. Maybe an ASP droid and a Sandtrooper to round out the Mos Eisley theme.

Ewok Village-A few large trees with small huts built in or between them. Rope bridges connecting them. Several Ewoks and whatever Rebels can be included. Maybe the spot to release an Endor version of Han.

Geonosis Arena-Some stands, the look out that Dooku and Co. were looking out from. The 3 large creatures, some Geonosians, Anakin, Obi Wan, Padme, Geonosian leader (can't think of his name) and maybe Dooku and/or Jango Fett.

Droid Factory-Sections of the assembly process. Conveyers with lots of moving parts. Battle Droids, a Destroyer Droid or two and Jango, Padme, and Anakin. Maybe R2 with rocket attachments. Lots of droid parts for all types of droids (a great excuse to have lots of the newer droid arms that hold weapons better for those who have lots of older battle droids).

You know what I want? I want some kind of set with a whole lot of Clones. I mean, think about it. If you got the MTT, you're going to have an immense droid army, but not nearly as many Clones. To counteract that, we need a set with a whole bunch of Clones. Really, I would buy that in an instant.

Well as the clones were outnumbered in the war 3:100, I think its fitting.

Yeah, but when I'm making my battle scene, it doesn't look right for 40 droids fighting maybe 10 clones, even though that is accurate.

I'd have to agree with that. We need a large group of clones. Sure the droids outnumber the clones. But doesn't mean their numbers where low.

Look at this way the standard crew compliment of an LAAT/i is 1 pilot, 1 Co-pilot, and 2 gunners. With 30 passengers. Just give us a larger version of the Lego Republic Gunship with like 18 clone troopers in it. Maybe not size scale but in playscale it's certainly an idea. They were able to do it with the new Death Star, they made a playscale version with a crapload of minifigs. There were still vehivles in the GAR that were the concept equivalent of the MTT. Vehicles for transporting large numbers of troops. I'd certainly like a set with a large number of clones.

I think the reason we got all the battle droids in the MTT and why we're getting so many sets now with battle droids is because I think the BDs are cheaper to make. Keep in mind the clones are full-fledged minifigures, so I doubt we'd get a whole ton of 'em, at least not without he price being 200 dollars or something. Ah, well, it's nice to fantasize anyway.

What I want to see in the near future, Grey versions of the Tie Fighter, Tie Bomber and Tie Interceptor, so they can all match the new Vader's tie.

Also I would love to see a Cantina/Land Speeder type set.

Based on the classic movies there where a few things Lego should and I hope would cover before the end of the license, but sofar very few have made it into decent sets.

First whats missing?

Starwars

Leias ship set, complete with an escape pod, rebels, stormtroopers, etc.

Banthers and tusken raiders, damn! These should have been made years ago in a set that included a decent landspeeder, Ben & a golden chrome C3PO and the new version or R2 along with a floppy hat Luke.

A cantina set with the characters as mentioned in a previous thread with sandspeeder.

A decent escape pod with the storm trooper patrol and the dewbacks, C3 and R2

Empire strikes back

Decent rebel transporter that was shown on the back of the snowspeeder, X-wing and falcon pack but was never made, this could be a battle pack included with extra troops and other bits and pieces from echo base.

A bloody Wampa cave with you guessed it a WAMPA! Not a yeti?
Ghost Ben & a beat up luke?

A good medic bay complete with the 2 medic droids.

The tree diroma that shows Luke who he is from dagoba

A decent dagoba set would be better complete with an X-wing?

Finally a cloudcity set, like the deathstar playset complete with a working freezing set, sorry but the other one was a joke.

Return of the Jedi

Jabbas palace with the monster and it's keeper, damn that would be good?

Finally the emperors shuttle, if ever a set needs to be redone, then this is it!

Maybe they can include a large compliment of clones if they make a Lego AT-OT? Throw in Aalya, Bly, 2 Star Corps Troopers, and about 6-8 clean Ep III Clones, and you're set. Maybe include Barriss Offee as well, since she was on Felucia, and a gelagrub.

Yea they could. But estimated price would probably put it around $100-$150 way to much for me. Even though I would buy it...

Hi there,

I would really like to see a battle pack with some bounty hunters from the OT:

Like 4 LOM, Zuckuss, Bossk and Boba Fett or IG 88.

Considering that the bounty hunters have their own vehicles in the EU, maybe Lego can grace us with some bounty hunter vehicles?

IG-88 - IG-2000 (most likely of the set)
Dengar and Boba Fett - Slave II
Bossk - Hound's Tooth
Dengar - Punishing One
4-LOM and Zuckuss - Mist Hunter

As for bounty hunter battle packs:

Aurra Sing with Custom Swoop Bike
Durge and IG Lancer Droid with Speeder Bikes

And I'm glad to see someone agrees with me that we need a NEW Lambda Shuttle

Here's my final say for five vehicles that I want to see created in 2010, and that have a reasonable chance of being made.

1) Imperial Shuttle

This ship NEEDS a redesign, if only because my 2001 version is turning yellow, and the Imperial Inspection set didn't last long enough on the shelves (And my shuttle was still white in 2005). This version should be the Tydirium, with Endor Han, Endor Leia, Endor Luke, Chewie, and at least two Endor troopers. I figure a redesign would be about $50-$60, and it should be taller than the Imperial Landing Craft (ILC), but similar in length (they're are both 20m long in the canon). There is really no excuse not to remake this. It is recognizable and hasn't been available in a while.

2) Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Interceptor (aka Jedi Starfighter from ROTS)

This ship was released as part of the Target exclusive Ultimate Space Battle limited edition set in fall 2005 that sold out everywhere in less than two months (It, along with the Imperial Inspection, Wookiee Attack, Wookiee Catamaran, and Mustafar Duel, had ridiculously short shelf lives in 2005, but that is another complaint for another day). I'm suggesting this because when it was available, its quantities turned out to be so limited that most fans who would easily recognize the ship (especially young fans) were deprived of adding this ship to their collections. Lego tried to throw us a bone by making Obi-Wan's blue interceptor, and while that was a damn good set, myself and others still want the ship that we missed out on in late '05. Judging by the existing design, I see no reason why this ship would cost more than $15, unless they add something extra.
As for minifigs, Pilot Obi-wan, R4-P17, and maybe 1 or 2 Buzz Droids would be fine.

3) Flash and Gian Speeders (Naboo Speeders)

The Gian Speeder is probably the most glaring omission from TPM. It looks like a relatively simple design that Lego should have done years ago. I'm suggesting it in a set with the Flash Speeder because that vehicle also needs a redesign, namely to make it a 4-seater instrad of a 2-seater. Packaging these two vehicles together (remember, the Gian is bigger than the Flash, and the Flash from 2000 had over 100 pieces for $10) and selling them for $30 sounds fair. This would also be the perfect set to FINALLY include a Padme minifig, along with a Panaka, 1 or 2 Naboo Security, and possibly Sabe, a Naboo Guard or two, or even a handmaiden.

4) AT-OT

I want this ship because, as I've mentioned before, it's the best excuse to get us an army of Clone Trooper minifigs. The ship design isn't overly exciting, but it is easily spotted and recognizable in ROTS. This set would also allow an opportunity to get an Aalya Secura and Commander Bly minifig. Those two, maybe 2 Star Corps Troopers, and about 8 regular Clone Troopers would satisfy any Lego enthusiast. An AT-TE-sized vehicle with that many minifigs would almost certainly warrant a $100 price tag, but its not everyday you can get that many clones with one purchase.

5) Separatist Boarding Craft and Escape Pod

This is the coolest new design I've seen so far in the Clone Wars cartoon. I'm sure the clamping design wouldn't be too tough for Lego to engineer, and the escape pod should be a cinch unless they add interior seats to it. This set would be a good excuse to get Plo Koon cheaper, as well as Vularen, 1 or 2 more Clone Troopers, and 1 or 2 Jetpack Battle Droids. Neither vessel is very large, and it could probably be sold for $20.

I haven't seen any of these ship on any summer 2009 rumor lists, so it looks like the earliest we might see any of these designs is 2010.

Having gone through the post...maybe I missed it or something. We see alot of people want re-releases of sets, but one set we've never seen in mini-fig size, is Tantive IV (rebel blockade runner). I mean how iconic is that image of Leia's ship getting chased down by the ISD. Exclamation

We see the ship in two of the movies. We could have it include both mini-figs from Ep. 3 and Ep. 4.
Ep. 3 could include Bail Organa, pilot, yoda, ep. 3 Obi Wan, R2-D2, C3PO, Padme (pregnant), do they make Lego babies? then you could have Luke and Leia.
Ep. 4 could include Leia, Vader, Capt. Antilles, 2-3 rebel troopers, 2-3 Stormtroopers, you would already have R2 and 3PO.
Have it include an escape pod, and you are all set. Even though this would be about the same scale as the Republic cruiser, which is about the same as the ISD, (which makes it way off scale for each ship). I still think it would make for a great set. We can only wish.

As other folks have "noticed" this and that, I would just like to point out that there have been several posts where people propose some kind of LEGO set that appears to be in the $30-$50 price range, then continue on to say that it should include 800 minifigs. I mean, the previous post regarding a system-scale Corellian Corvette (one of many such posts) requests no fewer than 12 minifigs, an unprecedented number for a set that would be comparable to the ISD playset (which effectively only included 8 minifigs).

To be realistic, sets that require any kind of special pieces/wide variety of pieces are going to include fewer minifigs. And the truth is, in any set, you're likely to get only one or two unique character minifigs (a few have come with three, but you'll notice that those run at least $10 more than the standard $0.10/brick price ratio). Let's get real, people!
