Do I have to leave the community completely just because I don't own any Lego anymore?

It was a long way Don, and not an easy decision.
But with the time I just couldn't see it anymore, every space in my room was full with Lego, at Saturday night the X-Wing fell behind the TV, because I just opened my Window.
It was everywhere and it was too much and I felt not happy anymore.

Andi,

If space is the issue, then the solution is obvious: buy a new house Very Happy

In all seriousness, though, this can be a very difficult issue. There are only so many things we have the time and money for. For those of us with multiple/other interests and hobbies, finding the time and space for LEGO can be difficult.

I don't know your financial situation, your plans for the future, etc. so I can't say what is and isn't right for you. I will say this though: if you think you'll ever want these sets in the future, you're making a big mistake. I can almost guarantee that if at some point in the future you decide to re-buy your collection, you'll undoubtedly pay far more for it than you'll get right now. But, if you've had enough and you simply want to clean your hands and move on, I won't hold it against you.

And if you're discouraged about the current lack of OT sets, I'll say this much: Better times are coming. I can't say anything more than that due to the RtB policy, but I promise you, better times are coming.

I say you can stay. No need to leave just because you has no legos.

I agree with theJudeAbides. I have not had much interest in Star Wars Lego for the last 5-6 years. However, I have had a feeling that once I get a handle on work and family, I will enjoy the hobby as much as I did when I first got into it in 1999. So although I have had little interest these days, I still buy the sets in anticipation of that day. I figured that in a few years, it will be prohibitive to buy all of the sets during my "2nd Dark Ages".

I, too, do not have much space. In order to decrease clutter, I opened up brand new boxes of Lego and just poured them in large ziploc bags and then put those into large plastic bins. I have a bunch of bins in my basement. Hopefully, I will be moving in a few months to a larger place.

Anyways, I hope you make a decision you can live with.

To be fair, you did use the word "goodbye" in your thread title. I can see where some might have made the jump in logic that by that you meant auf Wiedersehen für immer

Do you know that you all made me a bit uncertain now?
What does that mean? Am I not ready yet to let the Lego age behind me?
Should I postpone the sale till I am completely certain?
Darn, it was not so hard/difficult 5 years ago, selling my childhood collection... Confused
