I already own the first 2 Lego Star Wars games on Gamecube, should I buy the complete saga for the Wii? Is it worth the money, just for changing the console and a few extras?

I had the first two for GameBoy and then got the Complete Saga for Wii, so for me it was a huge upgrade. They don't make use of the Wiimote very much, sadly. From what I know the main differences are that you have all 6 episodes together and you're able to use parts from all of them to make your custom characters. I don't know if any of the other things are new, but if those mean enough to you, I'd say get it. If any of the other features are new, someone let me know.

In the Complete Saga the vehicle levels have all been redesigned to be the "open area" type, like they are in the second game, and a few new levels have been added to at least the prequel trilogy.

Also: You can play as Indiana Jones.

The Wii version lacks online Co-op and visual upgrades found in the PS3/360 versions, but if thats not important to you, you'll probably enjoy it.

Indy? INDY! Very Happy

Is he like what he is in Lego Indiana Jones, or just a Han Solo clone?

He's the exact same character as in LEGO Indiana Jones, or so I'm told. I haven't gotten him yet and only know about him in the game because of the guide I got frre with it.

Indy uses a pistol, not a whip. Or so I hear.

DarkBlue is half right. He uses both the pistol and the whip in LEGO Star Wars. In LEGO Indy he doesn't use a pistol though. So he isn't exactly the same.

I like to being able to play Episodes 1 -3 with characters from Episode 4-6.
And the newly included red bricks in the first 3 episodes give you some nice features, for example a stud magnet.

Why did they release the Complete Saga for most systems, but excluded PS2.

It really doesn't make sense when they released other games such as Indiana Jones and Batman for PS2, and still passed up Complete Saga.

Because the original Lego SW games are still available new for the PS2, and they didn't want to cannibalize it.

I'm a little late to the party, but it's $19.99 brand new on Amazon.com (at least for the Wii).

I've been wondering if I should bother getting this for PS3. Does anyone know if the music for Episode 3 matches the movie now? Episode I + II have the music from their respective movies but the older trilogy music plays for Episode III gameplay. I like to have my stereo play the CD for Ep. III when playing the game to get into the mood of it more but it would be so much nicer if it was build into the game itself.

Yes it is worth it, especially since its in the bargin games now.

The new features are, of course the ablility to play as any saga character on any lever (via free play).

Jedi can now use the shooter spots to reach higher areas

New "extra" features such as stud magnet make the flight/space levels easier to collect studs/reach "True Jedi"

Several levels have been changed, so you get 2 versions of the level (New ones in the standard episodes and the originals avaliable when all games are complete)

Characters originally removed from original game have been added back in Zam, Dexter, Watto, Zam's Speeder, Kiminoians, ect.

As stated above, more character parts from the LSW games have been added into the create a character section.

The Wii remote has been utilized (smoewhat) allowing new attacks such as Jedi Slam, where you have to preform a double jump and use specific movements with the Wii remote.

So, yeah..... the Complete Saga is worth the money if you loved the original games.

I have it and it was certainly worth the money. I did have both of the previous two games, but I still anjoyed the new version. Being able to play with Original trilogy characters in prequel levels was a pretty cool concept as Andi mentioned, and the vehicle level redesign was nice as well. And it's always good for a guest appearence by Indy. The 2 player aracade mode is pretty cool. You can pick any character and face off against any other.
