I was pissed when this set came out, because I spent $220 on the original 2 years ago and now I regret it. I'm not sure if I should get this one.
I almost made the same mistake with the MTT. _________________ Mesasa thinksasa Episode Onesasa had too much Jar Jar Binksasa |

For anyone complaining about the price, don't. The RGS costs 331$ where I live, and the MTT 260$. I'm really tempted to buy the RGS from the US and ask someone to ship it here. The set looks just amazing from the pictures, and I'm actually curious about the minifigs, captain Cody especially. _________________

I think the price seems okay. I just wish I had known that they were making this one, so I wouldn't waste my money on the original. _________________ Mesasa thinksasa Episode Onesasa had too much Jar Jar Binksasa |

Sorry Mike, my comment wasn't directed to you or anyone else for that matter, just saying that the price is just right from my point of view. _________________

Yeah. I would hate to live in Europe, Australia, or Malaysia. I don't understand why prices are so high there. Is it because of the distance of shipping or is it the economies in different countries? _________________ Mesasa thinksasa Episode Onesasa had too much Jar Jar Binksasa |

Nice review. I'll probably pick this one up before the AT-TE.
Just one question: How difficult would it be to mod this set so it could pick up an AT-TE? |
Funny you should ask that, I started a thread on this already, and yes the gunship can be converted into a LAAT/c. From what I saw on youtube, you just take out the troop compartment and using a set of technic pins etc you can set up a rack and pin type thing that holds the at-te in place on the underside.
Here is a link to that topic........

Im going to get 1 definitely, 2 hopefully. For those who know that Laats better than I, are the side bubbles supposed to store in the troop compartment, or where the bacta tank is on the new set? _________________ Infinite Bricks in Infinite Combinations(IBrIC)

I got it a while ago and it is amazing!!The best set I have gotten in a long time. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is fragile.Right after I built it it fell apart in my hands so I had to rebuild it |

I have a quick question regarding the speeder bike in this set. Does anyone know why there is a megaphone/old style blaster on just one side of the bike? It looks a little asymmetrical to me. Does it serve a purpose? _________________ "He is a very shallow critic who cannot see an eternal rebel in the heart of a conservative." - G.K.Chesterton |

I just got this set in the mail about four days ago, and it looks amazing. Too bad I don't really have the time to open this bad boy up at the moment, but once I get a good break from school, I'll be able to post a review. _________________ Do or do not, there is no try!!! |

That's an air intake. The cylindrical thing under the handlebars. _________________

I got mine Saturday(i think), and had a question about the gunpods on the wings. do the red slopes go with the slope towards where the gunner sits as the instructions show, or with the flat sides towards the pilot for more support? _________________ Infinite Bricks in Infinite Combinations(IBrIC)

I got this set for christmas, built it and really like it.
But wouldn't it be great if Lego would include so many figs, that all places in the ship are occupied?
The Gunship really could need more Clones. _________________ ~Andi

Yep. I hate it that we didn't get more clones, but we did get Plo Koon, Commander Cody, Obi Wan, and Asajj...but a clone pilot or two would have been nice. With mine, I'm just going to use the clones that came out in the new battlepacks to fill my Republic Gunship. _________________ Do or do not, there is no try!!! |

Playability took a hit last night.
I grabbed the gunship by the grey bits in the center of the top structure. Stud and pin grip was not enough to hold the weight of the nose and the troop compartment. Those separated and crashed.
ALWAYS fly this ship with a good bottom grip.
In this area, the old ship was more structurally sound. It could drop the nose and troop carrier. But then, the old design had problems hanging on to the cockpit. Overall, the new set has a bit more playability.
As for the minifig naysayers, go buy battlepacks. You already got two new Jedi and a Clone Commander with extra bits.
Does anyone have a fix to let minifigs slide in with the bottom nose seats? _________________
