What do you all think?

All this was done with a Sharpie by the way...

I think we can all say that these are very, very cool. The kamas look slightly rough, but perhaps its the lighting at work there; perhaps the picture is too over-exposed? Anyhoo, very good job. I've always seen sharpie as not as good as decals, unless the applier has a steady hand: but the detailing on these is great.

Pretty good Sharpie skills, I'd never try that. Your photography could use some work though... what kind of camera do you use?

Canon Powershot S30.

And forgive my photography skills... I still have much to learn in that area.

I use Picasa 3 to edit my pics.

What did I say in the NMA? What? Serious sharpie skill. Shocked The force is strong with this one! I've seen these all before but they look double great every time.

Sharpie skillz are definitely good. Just be careful with how much you use it. Too much Sharpie can cause unnecessary glare on the 'fig, and it can end up looking really ugly.

No way bucko, you're not getting off the hook that easily. Wink Really the main thing you need to improve your pictures is a tripod. I've got one from a 99 cent store that I use almost as much as my $40 Gorrilapod. Even if you cant find one for cheap or don't want to buy one, you can improvise something. Heck, build one from LEGO. Anything. I can see from the properties on your flickr photos that you are using the macro mode, so the blur is due to your hands. The odd color on this and some others is from not using the white balance feature too... but the more recent shots of your troops is done right. Just blurry.

I mean like a desk tripod... a small one. Like this or smaller even.

I have one of those. But I find simply that a steady hand and a blank sheet of folded cardboard work best. I just put my camera on the desk or ground. For steady shots, though, I agree with Don. Build a tripod out of LEGO - it works.

Also, the 2 second timer is fantastic, because it lets you click the shutter then let the camera settle before snapping away. Sometimes even with a tripod you get motion blur from the camera moving while you press the button.

Indeed. However steady it is, I always find my camera settling into a different position before it takes the picture. Always best to have some sort of support for it.

Daylight's always the best time for pictures, as well.
