It seems to have been awhile since I've posted a mini, so I finally got up and built a clone wars y-wing.

Well Obi jon and roguebantha have done one, so I decided it was my turn. enjoy I didn't have yellow pieces because of my solomon's temple project, (I have few yellow pieces left and NO yellow bricks). So looking through what colors would work I ended up with red. The rubber bands again I got from Tsoauttmo, just wish I had enough red rubber bands.

Enjoy,
Blackninjatom

The rubber bands are definitely the best part of the model; very smart idea!

Looks good in red. The body is not an easy shape and you've got it!
How would it look with cylinders instead of bricks for the engines?

Looks beautiful. I would have never thought of rubber bands for the engines.
I like the little green stud for the R2/R3 unit.

A 9.5/10!

roguebanta: cylinders looked a little small and out of place with the brick parts in the front half of the engines. Just looking at the model I found the engines looked too skinny, plus I had to put a 1x1 plate at the end so the rubber bands wouldn't slip off, which didn't add to the model's accuracy, so I went with bricks.
