That clip from Cars sure looks like him, but I don't think they planed it that far ahead. WallE can be distinctly seen driving a transport in the bonus feature in Ratatouille about living with rats. That one's confirmed. |
Don in the teaser for WALL-E Brad said that they had planned for a few movies WAY ahead of time, one was finding Nemo, The incredibles, and something else and Finally WALL-E,
So it could be, _________________

That clip was rather misleading... they just sat down and discussed the stories, they didn't figure out the complete character designs or anything like those floating sketches imply. You can see from the production art that there were many prototype versions of everyone before they got to the final designs we all recognize so easily. |

They made a game for his story? That means that people will have to play it to find out what happens. What about the little kids who'll watch the film in years to come? They won't be able to buy the game! It'll be gone! We'll be onto the Playstation 4, Nintendo Poo and the Xbox 180! We'll be playing Metal Gear Solid 7, Super Mario I'll Never Die and Halo Chronicles. _________________ FBTB: The Final Chapter

Well to continue the discussion in the other thread, I absolutely loved Cars. It's one of my favorite movies ever, and it's my favorite Pixar film (tied with Toy Story and Wall-E). So I'm eagerly awaiting Cars 2. |

Ah, but I mean -> The game won't be available to buy (not even second hand) because stores clear stock within 2 years and get rid of the old unwanted titles. _________________ FBTB: The Final Chapter

Or Amazon. And, people do play old games. Take me, for example. The only system I own is a Super Nintendo. Anyway, I don't think Pixar would use the Underminer in a sequel because they used him in the game. _________________ Well, time to face the new world at FBTB II... |

Oooh, you cheeky spanner! You and your quick-fire answers. However, give it 7 years and do a search on the auction website then. I wanna see how "available" titles are over the next decade. Hmm, I may have defeated myself on that already. I saw Zelda on the NES (on Ebay) the other week. _________________ FBTB: The Final Chapter

Well, I finally got to see Wall-E last night. It was pretty darned good! It didn't feel as much as a Pixar movie as it did an old sci-fi flick, which I loved. Did anyone else get a Aperature Science-y vibe from EVE? And the Autopilot reminded me of HAL (which was probably intentional, given that they played the 2001 theme later in the movie). I also loved the part with the Spork. The bit with the Sputnik was pretty awesome as well.
I give Wall-E 4.5 Directives out of 5. _________________ I has a flickr!

The drills are floating there! There are some things in that film that just shouldn't be (like eyes in windscreens ). Floating drills can be included in this.

He (Lightning) was supposed to have an arrogant, over-competetive attitude so that you would get P.O'd at him. But as the movie progressed, you would notice a big change, and he would become a very likeable character in the end. |
I thought Cars was a story about a little car (with a kid's voice) who went off to explore the world! How very wrong I was. _________________ FBTB: The Final Chapter

I saw Wall-E about 2 months ago but never posted about it.
It was a great movie and my fav Pixar movie (I don't like Pixar).
I love the part with the spork and the cleaning robot.
Overall a great movie that's worth seeing. 5 stars. |

I finally saw Toy Story a couple weeks ago. I had only seen the first half hour or so when it was first released on home video back in '96 and regret not watching the whole thing until recently. It was really great and funny, and I was amazed at how well most of the renderings hold up even today. My favorite scene is probably the one with the aliens in the claw machine. The references to Close Encounters and Woody's frustration had me laughing the whole way through that scene! Loved it, and now I have finally seen all of Pixar's feature-length films to date. _________________

Did I ever mention seeing WALL-E the weekend it came out? Because I did. I even got a rubber WALL-E themed digital wristwatch. It fits on me, but barely. I don't wear it though, since I have no need for it. _________________

Didn't see it on opening weekend, but I still got one of those cool watches. But I forgot to take it off while powerwashing, and it broke. Oh, by the way, Black Dragon, the watch isn't water-resistant. _________________ This post was only a test.

I've seen Wall-E today (yeah, the movie finally started in Austria )
It was my most awaited movie since I saw the first teaser, and I had high expectations.
Wall-E didn't met my expectations. It exceeded them. By far.
I'll have to watch it at least once more _________________

Just pre-ordered the 3-disc special edition from B&N for $23. Oh so happy right now.
Can't wait for the movie to come out on DVD. _________________

Something funny:
In that scene where Eve asks Wall-E about his directive in different languages, the first she uses is German
It's always nice to hear my mother-tongue in english movies. _________________

There's finally a trailer for Pixar's next film Up here.
I've learned to just trust Pixar despite what the trailer is like. _________________

Heh, classic Pixar launch trailer.
Pixar: Hey check this out!
Everyone: OK, so what's it about?
Pixar: Bah, don't even bother guessing... But doesn't it look good?
Everyone: Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean it'll be good...
Pixar: Have we let you down yet?
Everyone: Well... no, not really, but
Pixar: OK then! see you in a couple more months!
Everyone: ... |

I'm gonna have to see that one, though, reading through all the posts in this thread has made me want to go back and watch all my favorite Pixar movies again, so who knows if I'll be done with that by the time Up comes out. |

Wall-e is now out on DVD. Wal-mart looks to be the cheapest place to get it at about $24 for the 3-disc special edition. The third disc is a stupid "digital copy," which I really hate, so I consider it a 2-disc.
Weird thing is though, I went to their website and it is listed as $23 and change, yet in the store it was $35. I decided to try ordering it online with free "site-to-store" shipping and it came to $24-something total. We'll see what happens with that. _________________
