I love that Yoda and Vader are in Soul Caliber IV but I want a full SW dueling game.

I've been watching this game for a couple weeks now, all gaming magazines are saying that this is something to watch, or the new halo predasessor. I've watched all the documentaries on the site, and this seems like its going to be a 10/10 game. Can't wait until September 12th!

Strwrs429 the game is released on September 16th. Anyways the Wii experience looks really sick! As usual I can't wait for this game.

I've been excited about this game ever since I first heard about it a while ago.

I'm really excited about this game, too. I can wait for the release date though, because I need time to save up for a 360! Razz My 'puter has a horrible graphics card, I want better graphics than what PS2 has to offer, and Nintendo DS... That's not even an option for me when it comes to this game!

You know what's awesome about this game? The gameplay is different for each system!

I'm gonna pick this up for my PSP, the bonus content on SWBF:RS shows all the extras the PSP version of TFU will have to offer.

Oh, I didn't know that... But I'm still hoping to pick it up for 360 Razz But, I would expect the gameplay to be different for some. For instance, they would probably make the most of the DS touch screen abilities, and, of course, you'd get different gameplay with the Wii, due to the motion sensing controllers. And maybe, for PS3, they'll cook something up to make use of the sixaxis controller... Very Happy Oh, just typing this up is getting me pumped!! Shocked

The Wii version is looking surprisingly good. Smile

I'm actually planning getting a 360 or Wii pretty much just for this game next fall. Which one you think would be better?

Wii. The 360 breaks far too often, and it's overpriced. Not to mention that pesky lack of standards support, and paying just to play online.

Yeah, Wii might be the more economic choice. I'm not that eager player and there's virtually just two games for which I'm planning buying a console (TFU and the possible future BFIII), so 360 would most likely be just a waste of money (though I'm not sure what my younger brother would say about that..).

Nah, we'll see in September. Assuming, of course, that the game doesn't get delayed yet again. Razz

I'm going to get impeded for this, but personally, I think this game is going to suck. I don't know, it just seems so unoriginal. We get little information about the main character, but lack of information doesn't make up for lack of imagination.
I don't like this idea of Darth Vader having some unknown apprentice, it's like saying "During the OT Luke had a secret girlfriend named that we can't tell you about and she could do stuff, but you have to play the game to find out what she does."
I'm also not too sure about this use of the force as some sort of futuristic magical turbo-terrorism. He fights Stormies, but why? Isn't he on their side?

Anyways, just my two cents.

He doesn't want the Emporer to know he is on the Empire. Only Vader and maybe some other people know.

I agree. I'm actually leaning towards the Wii version now, because of all of the extra stuff (like the motion controls and Jedi Temple). I know the PS3/360 versions have the snazzy graphics and crazy physics, but is that all? There's got to be something else unique to those platforms, otherwise, I'm not going to bother shelling out the $60.

Ya, can't wait until September 16th to try it out on my Wii. However, I'm still a bit mad thats its not coming out until September, considering the fact that it was suppose to come out in 2007. Rolling Eyes

That's nothing new in the game world, sadly. Sad

Look on the bright side; at least it's not Spore! Very Happy

Reports please. I think the US release date is a few days earlier than the UK.

I picked up my copy on Tuesday, and having also played the PS3/360 version, I actually enjoy the Wii version more.

Lightsaber slashes, thrusts, and special abilities are directly mapped to specific directions when flicking the Wii Remote. For example, one combo could be left-right-up. With the other consoles' versions, only one button does that, and there's no control over it; it's just button-mashing, while the Wii one is much more interactive and requires a bit more finesse. Better interactivity = better game, if you ask me. Graphically, though, it certainly doesn't stand up. Given what we've seen with the likes of Super Mario Galaxy, it's a weird step back.

On a more random note, the environments and combat design remind me of Soul Reaver. (Even more so when Starkiller dons the Heavy Training Gear costume!)
