Has anyone of you visited the Star Wars Exhibition in London (County Hall, near London Eye)?
I've been there at Saturday, and it was really good, worth the entrance fee.
Especially the Jedi School.

Star Wars: The Exhibition. (Spaceballs the flaaaaaaamethrower!)
Quote: |
Upon entering London’s County Hall, visitors are immediately immersed into the Star Wars universe as huge landscape images are projected to recreate the atmosphere of a particular world. Different exhibition zones walk you through the worlds of Tatooine, Naboo, Endor, Hoth, Coruscant, Kamino, Geonosis, Kashyyyk, Utapau and Mustafar.
In addition, visitors will find a projection room featuring a documentary on 30 Years of Visual Effects, which reveals just how far this art has come. Optical illusions, picture overlays, pyrotechnics, stunt tricks, and other visual and special effects are also explained in relation to the Star Wars films.
STAR WARS: THE EXHIBITION gives visitors to London, movie lovers and Star Wars fans a unique opportunity to learn and discover some of the secrets behind the making of this epic Saga. |
Were you allowed to take any pictures, Andi?

Aww, that would be so cool to go to. _________________ Raptor Fun Fact #73- The raptor's natural enemy is the gas-powered internal combustion off-road vehicle, which is made of evil.
So long everyone, my flight's leaving soon. |

I've been (I also thught there was already a thread about it, but never mind). It was really quite cool, but it was a while ago and most of it's gone from my herad. I do remember life size pod racers, a speeder bike, Anakins N1, a but load of cool minatures, including utapau and an AT-AT leg. There was a life size Vader, the droids, Jabba, Boba, Jango.
And there was Jedi school, which, in all honesty, I thought was hilarious. They even did the same thing at CE _________________

I had to bump this one since I got a chance to see the SW Exhibition today, and it was great!
One of the things I liked the most was to see the costumes IRL. I hope I can post some pics later.
I'm now also the proud owner of a "May the force be with you" t-shirt _________________ Te audire no possum. Musa sapientum fixa est in aure. |

Oh gosh, this thread just makes me regret not having the time (or knowing about it long enough to prepare for) to go to the Star Wars exhibit while it was on in Minnesota. I was SO there when it was going on!!!
I hope you get to see the exhibit in London. _________________

I remember going to the Star Wars Exhibit that was featured in the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago.
My favorite thing of all had to be seeing ALL the shiny light saber hilts used by the actors when the sabers weren't ignited.
Also, as a tribute to the event, they placed a Ranco statue in the Chick Hatchery. A lot of the baby chicks saw it as a mother hen, which was funny. _________________
