Unfortunately, I collect SW Legos - since they first came out in 1999
Even if they suck (TIE Crawler), or are incredible (DeathstarII, USC Millenium Falcon), I will get them.
And, just in case anyone else is as anal as I am...
61,640 pieces (of SW lego) / 132 sets (1 free)
I don't even wanna tell the cost!!!! hehehehe _________________ So far - 132 SW sets and counting... |

I think he means this: "It is a semi- bad thing that has happened and you should feel sorry". (see dictionary.com to understand the true grammar)

I have a problem . I got $170 bucks for christmas and I have no clue what legos I should buy with it. I would like a lot of sets, but I also want good sets with good minifigs. What would you do in my situation?
p.s. I dont have many OT sets. _________________ Is anyone out there?.....I repeat...is anyone still alive?

I'd give my $170 to the first guy to reply to a post I make on a Star Wars LEGO virtual bulletin board asking advice, and let him spend it for me. _________________

I dont mean offense, but did you even READ the list on the first post of this thread? It doesn't seem like you have. _________________

Battlepacks. Lots and lots of Battlepacks. That way you get a bunch of sets and minifigs at the same time. Since that's the only real parameters you gave, it's the only answer that fits. |

Thanks Don but I already planed on ordering some of the new battle packs. I already spent most of the money on sets 7663 (sith infiltrator), 7660 (naboo starfighter), and 7658 (y-wing). I got other stuff that has nothing to do with lego. I couldnt wait for someone to tell me what to get so I just got the first things I saw on the shelf but im still happy with my choices. Destructive I did read the list, but I just wanted to see what some of the others would buy. _________________ Is anyone out there?.....I repeat...is anyone still alive?

O ok. Well next time maybe spesify that you want to know what others would do in that situation. Because it sounded more like 'tell me what to buy" type of post. _________________

So is the Rogue Shadow worth it? Or should I use the money for the rest of the 08' lineup? |

Well, pictures are widespread on the Internet, and you could probably check out each set's respective inventory on Bricklink. If the lifespan of the Rogue Shadow is a concern, it doesn't seem to be an exclusive/limited edition set and the price point seems high enough to keep it in the mix at least until the next wave of SW sets (presumably arriving in the Summer), so it should be around for the next 6 months (more likely for the next 12-20) at the very least. That's a conservative estimate. It's just a matter of what would be more fun/satisfying for you. _________________ Hail Brains!

Well it would be cool to have a multitude of boxes to open up hehhee...all 08' sets.
I just wanted to know if the Rogue Shadow was worth it...
I think I'll do what Flesh Skywalker suggested. So if the RS isn't limited edition...I guess if I REALLY needed it it wouldn't be too hard to find later...perhaps in the local TRU! |

I would have purchased one of the bigger sets with the money. It's sometimes harder to accumulate a large sum of money especially if money is scarce for you. I would have picked the motorized AT-AT or the MTT. It's much easier to get a few $30 or $40 here or there to buy the smaller sets. |

I beleive this goes here.If not please correct me.
I got an UCS AT-ST for Christmas, which I already have. My Grandma already got ride of the recipt. So should I sell the set for money which I need for the new sets. Or keep the set for extra peices? Help! |

Well, that's really more a personal call. If I've got this straight, you have two AT-STs. Did you open one? Did you build it? Do you like it? Do you like the selection of parts? If the answer to all of these questions is yes, consider keeping it with the realization that you might, at least for the time being, have to forgo other sets.
If you're satisfied with one AT-ST, then you could sell that puppy and get the cash for other sets. Although, from what I've heard, it's currently widely available at sale prices so if you were to sell right now, you might have trouble getting the MSRP for it. I believe it's been in circulation for a little over a year now, and the fact that it's been going on sale means it might be coming towards the end of its life-span. On the other hand, UCS sets tend to stay in circulation for a while before stock is liquidated. This might be an exception though since it's at a pretty low price-point for a UCS set. If you hope to get $79.99 or more for it, the best decision would probably be to hang onto if for now (still sealed) and sell it later. _________________ Hail Brains!

Draykov brings up good points. Also I tried to sell my UCS AT-ST last year for about $60 or something before all the sales and I couldn't even move it at that price.
Depending on where she got it you may be able to return it without a receipt especially if she bought it from a big box retailer with a credit card. |

Yeah, the Ultimate Space Battle set nearly doubled in price on E-Bay. I would sell later. I also agree with BigKid24, I would save up to get the MTT because it comes with a lot of pieces and has a lot of battle droids. _________________ I pity da foo who thinks jawas ain't coo!

If I were you I would wait until the AT-ST is "retired" and then sell it. Retired sets get alot more money than sets still in circulation on ebay.

^Depending on if you have the patience, that is a pretty good idea. Just wait a few months and this will go for a lot more money then it would now. _________________ Don nuked us all. Now what? |

I think originally, there was a stickyed thread that linked to the most important threads (this, Hair Jedi/Andi's spreadsheet). It seems that was eventually taken down too. _________________
