Firstly, congrats on everyone who enetered. A lot of work was put in on these, and they're all good in different ways. Buuuut...
Kyle's was my for sure favourite, and Septermis' would be my runner-up. Second runner-up would go to the "exploding Hansicle" one (as Collin so elequently put it).
Congrats to Kyle (*amazing* comic, dude!), and thanks to Ace for a great contest idea! _________________ "...the creation, of a Greened Army of the Republic."

Great work all around. A lot more of them made me laugh then I was expecting.
I would have entered myself but couldn't come up with an idea, so respect to everyone of you; you not only met a building challenge but a writing one! Well done and thanks for sharing.

Personally, I never did figure out how to see them full size. My first impressions of flickr haven't been favorable. I wish I'd known the comics were going to be resized; I would have made everything bigger on mine. Ah well, anyways, here's mine in the original size, if you're interested:

Justin (and anyone else who can't figure it out), if you click on the "All Sizes" button above each picture, it'll take you to a page where you can view the photo in various sizes. It'll show you the original full size version by default. _________________

No, I don't have an account, and I could get "all sizes" to work. I remember someone saying (was it onions?) that you had to be registered on flikr, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case _________________

The problem with mine is that you need to be a Firefly / Serenity fan to get the joke. Unofrtunately, that limits the audience of who will understand it. I knew when making the comic that I was hurting my chances of winning by making it a crossover comic, but it was the only funny idea I had.
The joke is that Anakin is flying the Mule, which is Serenity's hover vehicle. Anakin stole his speeder in Attack of the Clones from somewhere so I thought it would be funny for it to be the Mule, since it looks vaguely like Anakin's stolen speeder The last shot is of the ship Serenity, where a character, probably Mal, discovers the theft of the hovercraft.
...and now, because I had to explain it, it is officially unfunny Sigh... _________________ [b:47f5051a03][color=red:47f5051a03]BULLETIN ISSUED SATURDAY 01.31.2009 11:59:59PM PST. ATTENTION ALL CITIZENS: PLEASE READ THIS[/color:47f5051a03][/b:47f5051a03] |

For whatever it's worth, I was laughing my butt off after reading yours. ::D: A great idea, perfectly executed, and incredibly witty to boot.

The sophistication that was exhibited in such a subtle manner by septembris showed a level of genius that is not unlike that of Leonardo Da Vinci. But, like Leonardo, Septembris will only be truly appreciated when they are dead. However, you can reverse this trail to oblivion by voting for his comic. It is, as you say, Perdy good. |
Gosh! I never new I was that bright! Thanks for the nice words R2-MB2AstromechMechanic. What was the deal again? Dollars or raw aluminum? _________________

I have to say that this was an awesome contest. I had heaps of fun making a comic, something I hope to do again in the near future. Congrats to kyle, you definitely deserved that Artwork.
Thanks again

Well he is supplying the prize. And also he would have to do it in bricks, not in his amazing drawings. _________________
