Definitely something they should've done a looong time ago. It's the perfect toy for the average Star Wars geek. Smile

Exciting, but I hope the parts allow building more than one simultaneously– $40 is a little steep for a single plastic lightsaber, regardless of customizability.

I'm only noticing one blade colour too, no matter the "crystal" inside.

If you look to the very left of that image, 8t88, you'll see a clear blade too.
This is a good idea. When I first heard about this I thought it was a Masters replicas product and they would be machined metal, but this may do...

Sheez, could you imagine how much a kit like this would cost if it were done by Master Replicas? It would make the Limited Edition hilts look like chump change. Confused

Never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness for Hasbro. Smile

::D: About bloody time! I saw a few pic's of this set about a year ago and haven't heard a this about it since. To bad they waited so long to bring it out. Crying or Very sad Non the less I find the best part of this set is that you can use the clear blade then mix and match the color'd disc and the crystal to make your own color'd blade Wink as the light buld lights up through the crystal (bulb cover) and then light through the color'd disc. Giving you a choice from red, green, blue, then wut ever color you can get out of mixing these three colors.

Unless of course they changed that idea.

A deffinate buy wich I would care less about getting funny looks for buying at my age (20) :D.
