Other notables that I like and have been wanting to buy music from include The Arcade Fire, Neutral Milk Hotel, Explosions in the Sky, Liquid Tension Experiment, Mars Volta, Sigur Ros... jeez, I think I'll just stop. Music has become such a big part of my life so quickly, it's nuts. _________________ -Travis

I try not to listen to anything older than me, but I will make exceptions. Except for classic/soft rock.
Now for my list, which will be condensed:
Anberlin
Further Seems Forever
Relient K
^ (These are probably the top three)
Switchfoot
Relient K (yeah, I like 'em that much)
Linkin Park is still good
Kutless
Jars of Clay
music I don't actually own, so I just like the stuff I've heard:
two thirty eight
Emery
Hawthorne Heights
mewithoutyou <- great stuff, but only a few can stand their style.

My favorite band of all time (and the greatest band period) is most definately TOOL.
My second-favorite band (and one that no one else in the cosmos has heard of) is 30 Seconds to Mars. (see my avatar) Their seconds album is due out any day now. I first learned about them after seeing "The Core." They did the song "Echelon" for the ending credits.
EDIT: I forgot to mention Alter Bridge. They are a fantastic band. _________________

Well, let's see...
My 3 favorite bands are:
AFI (Best live band ever.)
The Cure (Amazing everything.)
Nine Inch Nails (Trent Reznor is a genius.)
but I also listen to a lot of:
HIM (Ville Valo is an amazing singer, great music.)
Tool (Amazing as well.)
A Perfect Circle (Same.)
Tapeworm (Maynard James Keenan, Trent Reznor, Danny Lohner... yeah amazing.)
Manson (Okay, don't like him as a person, but Anti-Christ Superstar is one of my favorite albums, mainly because Reznor produced it.)
Evanescence (amazing lyrics and vocals, and great effects. Their album is one of the best produced albums I've ever heard. This coming from a recording major.)
Filter (Richard Patrick (ex NIN, Robert Patrick's brother. Rovert Patrick was T-1000 in case any of you didn't know.)
Danny Lohner (ex. NIN)
Dead Elizabeth (Best metal band ever, I don't care what anyone says.)
Freya (ex. Earth Crisis. Seen them once.)
Son of Sam (Members of Samhain and Danzig with Davey Havok of AFI)
Eyes Averted (I'm friends with them.)
18 Visions (Saw them about a week ago. They were amazing just like I thought they'd be.)
Deftones (Gotta love them.)
David Bowie (Who doesn't love Bowie?)
Queen (Bicycle! Bicycle! I want to ride my Bicycle! Freddie Mercury was amazing.)
I guess that will have to do for now, I can't think of anymore.
PS Timborino... I saw Emery last week, they were pretty bad live, but their album is good. They were just really sloppy live, and didn't sound good at all. 18 Visions was amazing though. They put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. |

No other band comes close to being a favorite like Metallica. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Led Zepplin....so I'll call them my second favorite. _________________
