Well, some have had to seen it already, but I know there are those that have not. I will have to say that this is got to be the best Vader custom I have seen so far. Let the drooling commence. Razz

I tried commenting on this yesterday on MCN but the post wasn't working so I'll comment here. This is another excellent custom minifig, very detailed, and "smooth" if you know what I mean.

On question though. Did you recreate the Vader Helmet, or did you just touch it up with the silver for details?

I actually agree. I'll have to give him "lifts".

The knight's legs and arms look like they came from a Minimate, and Vader's arms look sort of look like the Stikfas Delta Boy's arms. Am I close?

Nope, he made those himself.

Yes, and no.

The Knight's arms and legs were minimate parts originally, but I
modified them heavily to work with the Lego torso AND scale.
Minimate parts are far too big to look "right" on a minifig, straight
out of the box. I found a scale/size I wanted to create using those
parts, and commenced to cuttin'. Easy enough.

Vader's arms are my own design -

Great job Blasterman. I am always amazed at the quality of your work. You've definately outdone yourself on this Vader. I remember seeing a version of this on the Lego website awhile back and this one is even better.

Thanks Stan. I'm always amazed myself when I create something like
this, because I don't see it being anything special until it's done. Then
I sit back and say "huh, that's not bad at all". Seriously.

Where did you see another version of this on Lego's site? I submitted
a pic for the "Empire Story", but I never saw it posted. Curious.

Yeah I saw it in that Empire Story thing I believe it was. It was the one where you had him posing from the scene at the end of ESB where he tells Luke he's his father and he has his arm bend and hand towards the sky.

I just checked out the Star Wars site for the gallery on Episode V, and the pic isn't there anymore. I definately know that I saw it there awhile back. Maybe they realized on how good of a fig it was they decided to take it down cause they were making themselves look bad....

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff,
You have already caused me to spend many many paypal dollars(They are not real anyway, right) on your amazing guns, medieval items and yes I am a proud owner of a Little Armory t-shirt, so why must i wait until the time when I can own the modern guns(WWII versions of same quality of SW guns would be amazing) and bendy arms(sorry what do you call them?)
And let me point out that I am such a lego brand purist that despite the fact it kills me to not buy minimate figures, and similar bricklike/size minis of the non-lego brand your items cause me to contradict my lego purity...
My paypal account is waiting to be drained...

Brickscout -

Thank you, first off.

What can I say? I'm trying to get stuff done as quickly as possible.
Trust me - I want to see WW2 stuff myself. My Wehrmacht are
patiently waiting for their gear. Very Happy
